New Christmas in July Artwork, Mini Displays & SALE!
Filed under Christmas, Connie Littell, New Furniture, Shadowbox/Room Box
Wow! I love this new Christmas in July artwork by Design Team Member Connie Littell! So bright and cheery (and filled with tons of tiny trinkets).
Here’s a bit of the text from Connie’s blog post to get this tour started:
The setting I used was a Simple Scene Box – Riser Base, which was the perfect size for this project. It was assembled using tacky glue. The walls were papered in red and white and the floor received a hardwood pattern.
I started with a Shallow 3D Fireplace. The interior of the fireplace was covered in dark brick paper which I glued in place prior to assembling it.
The exterior received a raised brick facade by applying modeling paste to a Small Brick Wall Stencil held in place with a bit of painter’s tape.
The Standing Tree Shelves is a brand new piece that gives you a great alternative to decorating a bottle brush tree. Its shelves can be staged with Christmas packages, ornaments, holiday figures, treats, whatever suits your fancy. I painted it a Wedgewood green with a brown base and topped it with one of the Flat Back Gold Star Studs. I think this shelf would also look darling in a child’s nursery setting painted a pastel color.
Read more (and see tons more photos) on Connie’s blog post. Here’s her supply list (all in today’s sale, too)! Now on to a few close-ups…
Starting with that new Standing Tree Shelves that Connie mentioned. See the wide photo below for some close-ups. TONS of little nooks to decorate. It stands 4-3/4″ tall. You could also put it on a small side table for a taller tree.
Oh, and that collage sheet at right? Connie enlarged one of the “Ho Ho HO!” images for her rug (in front of the fireplace)!
Moving on to the new Curio House (on top of the fireplace) AND tons of new metal miniatures (like the 3 candlesticks at right and the 2 goblets at left). Connie painted all 3 sizes of the candles and 1 of the goblets (see wide pic below). Plus she painted the new Cream & Sugar Set, rabbit, kitchen chair (with tiny cat) and Tiny Metal Flower Pot with Saucer (bright red)!
Connie made a tutorial on painting metal miniatures in her blog post!
Now back to that Curio House: A tiny little house-shaped shadowbox, cut from medium-weight chipboard. Stands approx. 2″ tall and 1/2″ deep (inside height of the bottom shelf is 3/4″ so keep that small size in mind for decorating). Plus Connie added red shingles!

New Holiday Ornaments Gift House Artwork & SALE!
Filed under Christmas, Gifts/Decorations, Rhonda Secrist Thomas, Shadowbox/Room Box
There’s a new Flying Santa Attic Silhouette for the House Shaped Shadowbox with Cover and Design Team Member Rhonda Secrist made a great gift with both of them called Santa’s Coming Tonight.
Beside a miniature scene on the bottom floor (inside the house… many more pics are below), she turned the top floor into a storage area for full-size ornaments (as gifts for the recipient to put on their own tree). Clever!
Here’s a bit of the text from Rhonda’s blog post:
There are three different sizes of ornaments used in the project. Tiny Ornament Frame Sets, 25mm Ornament frame Sets, and Small Ornament Frame Sets. Those last ones are my favorite because you can use the Small Clear Plastic Round Domes and add small items that can move around inside like 5mm White Snowflakes or Polymer Clay Slices.
AND there are 2 new ornament sets that Rhonda also used (the smaller as decor downstairs and the larger as part of the full size ornaments): 1 Inch Cookie Cutter Ornaments and 3 Inch Cookie Cutter Ornaments (more into about them farther below).
![]() |
Nice! The photo at right is showing the inside of the house without the cover (see the first wide photo below for the cover hinged on, AND how the front door can open to show a preview of Santa in the chimney).
Speaking of chimney, that’s the Fireplace Overmantel (that Rhonda used as a shorter fireplace than the Shallow 3D Fireplace it was made to sit on). That Santa image is from the Hanging by the Chimney with Care Collage Sheet.
There’s all kinds of colorful Christmas decor around that fireplace:
– Box of Christmas Decorations
– 1 Inch Decorated Green 3D Tree
– 1 Inch Christmas Gnome
– Mini Box of Christmas Ornaments
– Tiny Red & Green Resin Wrapped Christmas Gifts
– 8mm Resin Christmas Cookies and Brass Starburst Charm (decorations on the 4″ tree)
AND at the top of the “bottom floor” (above and behind the tree and fireplace): more info about that strip of light color paper from A Vintage Christmas 6×6 Paper Pad with tiny ornaments on it (bracketed by 2 strips of gold Dresden trim) in the next section…
![]() |
New Cookie Cutter Ornaments
Aw… sweet (!) new sets of 2-layer ornaments. 1 Inch Cookie Cutter Ornaments and 3 Inch Cookie Cutter Ornaments both include a stocking, snowman, gingerbread man and Christmas tree shapes (each with a hole at top for hanging).
Rhonda used the larger ones as some of the full-size ornaments (the stocking is highlighted in the wide photo below — decorated with vintge buttons and clock parts, plus more of the 8mm Resin Christmas Cookies also used on the tree). That Santa image is from the Elves in Santa’s Workshop Collage Sheet.
The smaller set of cookie cutter ornaments are interspersed with Tiny Ornament Frame Sets on the strip above/behind the fireplace. Most of the images in all the tiny ornaments are from the Round Pendants Christmas Collage Sheet.
![]() |
There’s a pic with all the gift ornaments spread out. All use papers from A Vintage Christmas 6×6 Paper Pad plus lots of ribbons & bows (and candy canes, pine fern, pine cones…).
The non-cookie cutter shapes are from the Small Ornament Frame Sets (star, round and bauble shapes). Shaker items inside the domes are 5mm White Snowflakes, Hello Christmas Polymer Clay Slice Mix, and Red & Green Peppermint Candy Polymer Clay Slices.
A few more collage sheet sources for these ornaments:
– Gnomes & Birds Collage Sheet
– Retro Snowmen for Medium Tins Half Sheet
– Gnome Home Collage Sheet
– Christmas Trees Collage Sheet
Whew! There’s the end of my tour. Read more (and see tons more photos) on Rhonda’s blog post. Here’s her supply list (all in today’s sale, too)!

Tiny little seed boxes in 2 sizes! (Both are 3/8″ tall; the one with 6 square cubbies is approx. 1-1/8″ x 1-5/8″; the one with 3 rectangular cubbies is approx. 3/4″ x 1-5/8″.)
Also shown at right with images from the new Seed Packets & Catalogs Collage Sheet (the seed packets were design to fit these heavy chipboard boxes).
Another new collage sheet: Seed Catalogs Tin Covers Collage Sheet. Pretty Bird Bakery by Connie Littell
What a fantastic bakery scene! So many yummy breads and pastries in the Pretty Bird Bakery (and displayed in a variety of new and old pieces: a couple not mentioned in the text below are the new 1:12 Kitchen Cabinet (with the doors left off) and the Shop Counter as a check-out station).
Here’s a bit of the text from Connie’s blog post to get us started:
I love it when I get the opportunity to play with new products from Alpha Stamps and today’s project used quite a few. The new 10×8 Counter Room Box has a built in shelf across the rear wall that I turned into a bakery. I decided to go with a modern layout and decorated it using brick, wood and tile papers with craft sticks painted black for the trim.
This Counter Room Box comes with a 2.5 inch deep built-in shelf across the rear wall making it a terrific setting for all types of settings, particularly retail space.
I used two of the Arch Top Facade Bookcase – Short for storage on each side of another new piece — the Bread Rack. This display rack is the same width as the Arch Top Facade Bookcase so you could easily use 3 bookcases across the counter if you have no use for a bread display in your project.
The Bread Rack is like a bookcase with angled shelves as you can see here. What I love about this piece is it could be used in a setting like a farmer’s market or corner store as a standalone shelf to display all kinds of things.
A bakery display shelf obviously needs loaves of bread! All of the molds I used for this bakery project came from Alpha Stamps. A few of them are older ones I had on hand and a bunch are brand new, like the Mixed Bread & Croissant Silicone Mold. I started by filling every cavity of the mold with paper clay and let it dry. Once unmolded, I was able to select the ones I wanted to use and then made multiples of those.
The one set of treats I made using polymer clay instead of paper clay were the cupcakes. I made two flavors — lemon and chocolate. What’s great about these new Mini Silicone Cupcake Molds is that they can go right in the oven. The mold comes with cupcake liners and frosting. I added a layer of ‘cake’ using polymer clay textured with a toothbrush. They are displayed on Mini Cookie Sheets.
Read more (and see tons more photos) on Connie’s blog post (with more details about all the bread loaves she made — and the new 3-Tier Cupcake Stand)! Here’s her supply list (all in today’s sale, too)!

New Patio Furniture, Witchy Art, FREE Gift & Mystical CS Sale!
Filed under Fairy Garden, Halloween, New Furniture, Shannon Cooper
Such cute patio furniture (and in both 1:12 and 1:24 scales)! It’s July in 2 days (?!) and seems the time for hiding inside with the AC and dreaming up a cool miniature patio project.
First, about these new things: I started with an idea for a new Patio Chair to fit the Wrought Iron Patio Table (at right, under some of the tiny new half scale items). Which led to a wider bench. Then the chair and bench in half scale size… and winding my way back to a (simpler) patio table for the tiny chair!
Second: that larger patio table got me thinking about an adorable Halloween-themed project by Shannon Cooper, with a Chaise Lounge (with a step-by-step tutorial explaining how she upholstered it).
ALL of these new items PLUS all of the supplies from Shannon’s artwork are included in today’s sale (plus some extras I added — AND note the sale on ALL Mystical Collage Sheets, too)! More info below.
A Witchy Little Chaise by Shannon Cooper
How cute it that?! When I suggested the 1:12 scale Chaise Lounge to Shannon, she knew immediately how she wanted to decorate it. I, on the other hand, did not immediately think “Halloween”… sure glad I have the best Design Team in the world!
From Shannon’s blog post:
The miniature Wrought Iron Table looked nice along side the chaise, especially after it was given a furry edged table cover. The accessories like the vase of roses, a pewter candlestick, a set of keys, and a few other things helped, too.
The chaise is a cinch to assemble and decorate as it comes, but it is equally simple to upholster it, making it soft and squishy like a chaise should be.
The first thing you do is trace around the seat, back, and side pieces onto lightweight cardboard. I did this twice for two reasons. 1. In case I screwed up. 2. I wasn’t sure if I also wanted to lightly upholster additional pieces to add on the outside of the chaise, covering the entire thing in fabric. Can never be too prepared.
Read more of Shannon’s step-by-step tutorial (and to see lots more photos).
And here’s a link to Shannon’s supply list (part of today’s sale, too).
FREE Gift with All Orders
A custom B&W Halloween Slice Mix is FREE with all orders placed today through Wednesday (ends at midnight July 2, 2025)!
I was inspired by all tiny fabric prints in Shannon’s project. Plus some of these in a little bowl would look perfect on the top of that table.
This is a mix of old stock (no longer for sale) and some current things in the same color palette:
– Coffin Lid Polymer Clay Slices
– Black & White Swirl Candy Polymer Clay Slices
– Spider Webs Polymer Clay Slices
– Skulls from the Black & Orange Halloween Polymer Clay Slice Mix
– Black Ouija Board Planchette Polymer Clay Slices
The linked slices above are also included in the sale (in case you’d like to order more)!
Patio Furniture SALE
One more thing: I’ve added the Night Creatures Halloween Polymer Clay Slice Mix at right to the sale, too!
TWO collections are on sale; the first includes:
– all the new Patio Furniture,
– the supplies from Shannon’s A Witchy Little Chaise artwork (includes the 1:12 scale Patio Table!), and
– the polymer clay slice mixes in the free gift (and the set at right).
And a new Mystical Collage Sheets collection (inspired by the tarot cards in Shannon’s artwork; some highlights from that group are shown below)! A grand total of 80 items on sale!
There’s a new AUTOMATIC DISCOUNT for an extra 25% off the listed prices! You’ll see the discount in your cart — no code required!
The sale ends WEDNESDAY NIGHT, July 2nd at midnight PST.
See the artwork supplies sale collection here! (It also includes the new items.)
And don’t forget the separate Mystical Collage Sheets collection!
New plant stands & fancy trims; Flower Shop & planters; 25% off SALE!
Filed under Laura Carson, Miniatures, New Furniture, Streets of Paris
Two new plant stands! These are based on a fancier version (in 1:12 scale) that we used to carry (these new designs are much less expensive). Laura Carson used the fancy version in her Victorian Conservatory (see the close-up at left).
The 1 Inch Tall Wooden Flower Pots (the larger pots in that sample) are back in stock (and shown along with the Set of Miscellaneous Flower Pots and Tiny Wooden Flower Pots in the photo at right).
Both sizes of the plant stands are an oval shape (wider than they are deep), which gives extra room for potted plants on the sides, but still shallow enough for a room box. The 1:12 version of the 3-Tier Plant Stand is 5″ tall x 4″ wide (but only 2″ deep).
Eek! How cute is that half-scale version! See the photo below with a bunch of tiny planters and a watering can (in the new sale, too)!

New Tudor Rose Trims
Inspired by another project by Laura with a garden scene…
Laura Carson’s L’Amour des Fleurs is so beautiful! There’s an outside vs inside comparison at right. The flower shop is in the center of the bottom floor of Laura’s Streets of Paris shops (the chocolate shop can’t be seen in the photos, but it’s just to the right of the flower shop). The Chocolate Shop post was fifth in a series about the shops… you might want to start at the beginning.
Laura used the (back-in-stock) Mini Tudor Rose Singles above the doorway (far right, showing the inside of the shop — above the Folding Screen Fretwork Insert as a wrought iron door). I kinda ran with that Tudor Rose motif and designed a new border and a new altoids tin insert (shown below). Plus that insert would work well as a stencil (and there are some tips about making it into a stencil on the insert page).
You can read more about the L’Amour des Fleurs project and see more photos on the original post and on Laura’s site. (Note: as Laura covered making the buildings for this project in an earlier post, those items are in a separate blog post.) Plus here’s Laura’s supply list for “just” the flower shop (also included in today’s sale — more info below)!
More New Gardening Supplies
Ooh… another tin insert (lattice, at left) — good as a garden trellis, too.
Beside the close-up at right, there’s another photo of Laura’s artwork below (down in the sale section): the back-in-stock Glass Microscope Slides make perfect little shelves (with bent Symmetrical Bronze Flourishes as brackets).
More about the photo at right: the cash register was painted black, and is sitting on a plant table (also painted).
And the new vase and watering can… perfect for this miniature project (there’s even a white vase inside Laura’s shop… above the cash register though outside the crop in this photo).
L’Amour des Fleurs SALE
I love the painted thimbles as flower pots! Just look at those shelves full of them!
Over 50 items are on sale, including:
– all the new & back-in-stock items,
– all the Tiny Planters shown in the Half Scale Plant Stand above, and
– all the supplies from Laura’s L’Amour des Fleurs artwork!
Bonus: I’ve added bunches of paper roses in the same pretty shades as in Laura’s Flower Shop. A couple examples are shown below. PLUS a few more items similar to Laura’s supplies:
– Blue Ceramic Square Planter and Base
– Mini Plastic Greenery Set
– Micro Wheelbarrow
– Green Turf Grass
There’s a new AUTOMATIC DISCOUNT for an extra 25% off the listed prices! You’ll see the discount in your cart — no code required!
The sale ends WEDNESDAY NIGHT, June 25th at midnight PST.
Moroccan-themed art, new related tin inserts & 25% off SALE!
Filed under Altered Tins, Bella Ayers, Moroccan Doorways Kit
I was inspired by the artwork and the related back-in-stock supplies… so there are THREE new tin inserts with a similar theme! Read on for more info…
I love all the color and textures in Kimberly Ayers’ Moroccan Nights project! That photo at right shows the inside when the piece is open (and note the depth from the niche on the right side, behind the Moonshine Frame). There’s also a niche behind the scene on the front cover!
Per the work-in-progress photos below, you can see how she hinged the main house pieces. For the front cover she built her own frame using one of the back-in-stock Onion Dome Frame Toppers on top. (See how the niches are offset in the side-view photo? The niche on the front cover is lower than the niche on the inside.)
Note: the first row of supply photos below show all 3 back-in-stock supplies in the artwork (including those Onion Dome Frame Toppers).
You can read more about the project and see more photos on her blog post. Plus here’s Kimberly’s supply list (also included in today’s sale — more info below)!
More Back-In-Stock Supplies
Not exactly Moroccan themed, but some popular items are back!
How sweet those pears are in the festive garland at right!
The Mini Silverware – Set of 12 shown at left is taller and fancier than the silverware in the Miniature Silverware – Set of 20. The knife is approx. 1″ tall. (A bit large for 1:12 scale… unless that’s a knife for cutting a cake?)
Moroccan Panels SALE
Over 20 items are on sale, including:
– all the new & back-in-stock items, and
– all the supplies from Kimberly’s Moroccan Nights artwork!
Bonus: I’ve added 4 more items to the sale! At right and the first row below (that orange ribbon is a close match to the seam binding tied around the artwork… plus, Halloween is coming).
There’s a new AUTOMATIC DISCOUNT for an extra 25% off the listed prices! You’ll see the discount in your cart — no code required!
The sale ends WEDNESDAY NIGHT, June 18th at midnight PST.
New Artwork with Chocolates, Caviar & Champagne & 25% off SALE!
I love this petite scene! So many yummy items on the top of a patio table.
Here’s a bit of the text from Connie Littell’s blog post to get us started:
This project all started with the new Tiny Black Caviar microbeads. I love caviar and they look exactly like delicious sturgeon eggs to me. Once I made that connection, the project fell right into place. Caviar is a special treat that I associate with a special occasion, the perfect date night.
I started with making all the accompaniments in miniature. To make little white scalloped ceramic dishes to hold the traditional condiments I used the new 10mm Silver Fluted Bead Caps and gave them a few coats of white nail polish. (Clever!)
Read more (and see tons more photos) on Connie’s blog post (including making those tiny chocolates and how she put together that scalloped candy box)! Here’s her supply list (all in today’s sale, too)!
More New Supplies
Maybe you’d like to make a mini scene with a different color metal tray?
Or a heart-shaped candy box (2 options)!
And 2 colors of 10mm bead caps are back (simpler design than the fluted ones above) — remember the brass ones Laura used on that chandelier at right?
Date Night SALE
Aw… there’s another photo from Connie, with some of the crackers & lemon slices.
Over 20 items are on sale, including:
– all the new & back-in-stock items, and
– all the supplies from Connie’s Date Night artwork!
There’s a new AUTOMATIC DISCOUNT for an extra 25% off the listed prices! You’ll see the discount in your cart — no code required!
The sale ends WEDNESDAY NIGHT, June 11th at midnight PST.
New Ouija Board & Pumpkin Tureen, Tunnel Book Art & 25% off SALE!
Filed under Edgar Allan Poe, Halloween, Kristin Batsel, Miniatures, Susan Killam
In honor the the new (tiny!) 2×2 Arch Tunnel Book I’ve brought back the 6×6 size (at right).
Design Team examples are below (of making a classic tunnel book and of binding the pages as a shaped book). Plus some adorable new 1:12 scale props with a Halloween theme!
Edgar Allan Poe Tunnel Shadow Box by Susan Killam
I sooo love this little Poe shadowbox! Susan used small stacks of chipboard to provide depth between the layers of the 4×4 Arch Tunnel Book (there’s step-by-step photos on her blog post… and see the wider photo below for a work-in-progress that shows the depth).
Some text from Susan’s blog post:
My 4×4 Arch Tunnel Book is a little dark with an Edgar Allan Poe theme. Hey, I’m a Baltimore girl and I can’t pass up a Poe project opportunity!
To begin, I chose the center element first. The photo below shows how I rigged it up so I could see the chipboard layers and plan the elements. (Note to self: put wee lights in the next tunnel book.)
There are so many great motifs throughout Poe’s writing. Here I’ve included a raven, heart, cask, skull, and, of course, Lenore, all from Alpha Stamps collage sheets. There’s also a pendulum, eyes, premature burial, and doubles. Oh… if only I’d used the 6×6 Arch Tunnel Book!
Hey, I’m ready to encourage Susan to make another tunnel book!
Read more and see more photos in Susan’s blog post; plus here’s her full supply list — all included in today’s sale!

New 2×2 Arch Tunnel Book
Eek! So cute! Like the larger versions of this book, this 2″ x 2″ size includes a solid back cover plus extra pages with arch window cut-outs in descending size.
3 pages with windows (plus the back) = 4 pages total.
Also shown in the photos above with 3 of 5 collage sheet options that fit the TINY size of this book (photos of all 5 are on the book page). I picked a range of themes from birds to Halloween and Christmas. I know you’d pick out more images and tiny trims for the top 3 pages.
Note I just used strips of corregated cardboard to give a bit of depth between each book page (both in photo at right and with the collage sheet images below).
AND I included all 5 of the collage sheet options in the sale!

They’re also included in the sale (in case you’d like to order more)!
Halloween Tunnel Book by Kristin Batsel
Kristin made a traditionally-bound book using the 6×6 Arch Tunnel Book (and the Wrought Iron Window Grate, which was designed to fit in one of the book’s arches).
(Psst: Susan used the same window grate on the front of her 4×4 book above, just cropped off at the bottom.)
From Kristin’s blog post:
“When it’s closed (left side of wide photo below), you can see through all the layers to the back of the book. I added lots of fun Halloween things, from a jack o’lantern (with a curious rat) to an articulated skeleton (in front of an old window). There’s even a ferocious lion door knocker! Once I had it all assembled, it looked like it needed more color, so I added an orange bunting. It’s so easy to make: just glue little triangles to a piece of thread, and hang.”
Here’s Kristin’s supply list (yep… on sale, too… see below for more info).
