A Mushroom Village, New Rustics, Fairy Garden SALE!

The Mushroom Village In My Back Woods by Rhonda Thomas

Ah… is that not the sweetest little gnome village? And Rhonda seems to have happened upon it by accident! 🙂

Here’s some of the intro text from Rhonda’s blog post:

I’ve had a lot of time for exploring in the woods behind my house. You will never believe what I found! Just past the hill, beyond a huge bolder, is a Mushroom Village full of hard working gnomes.

I couldn’t believe my eyes and exclaimed, “Oh my, is this even real?” And the gnome in the middle mushroom replied, “Dude, what are you on?” And then they all laughed at me. It was very strange, but then they went on to tell me that since I have learned to slow down more, and appreciate the little things, I can somehow now “see” them.

Apparently they have been there for years, which explains why my dog, Antoinette, is always yapping in their direction.

Such a fun project! I’m going to point out one new thing that Rhonda used (and check out the 2 close-ups below, too): Mini Straw or Field Grass.

It’s made for making little tufts as marsh grass (but could also be used for thatching a tiny roof). Made of dyed… I’m going to say nylon (looks like the same material as a paintbrush). There are instructions on the product page, too.

Here’s Rhonda’s supply list and you can read more in her blog post (plus get more info on making tiny slits in the base to stand up characters cut from the collage sheets, like the squirrel below).

There’s another photo in the Giveaway section below, too (plus a chance to win lots of the supplies)!

What else is new today?

Mushroom Village Giveaway!

Industrious is right! Between that gnome peeling potatoes and the squirrel… eating (Is he eating? We’ll call that industrious but maybe not!), this tiny portion of the whole village scene caught my eye and is the focus for this Giveaway.

Starting with the basics you’ll need:
The Mushroom House Kit itself! (that includes the chipboard shrine, tiny windows and 2 collage sheets — with the industrious gnome)
– The chipboard base all the houses are sitting on
A Summer Gnome Home Paper Set (I spy some of the green moss print on the house at left; also in a photo below) — even more paper! And you may need full 12×12 sheets if you’re making a village!
– The new field grass!

Then moving on to some of the items in the close-up:
Tiny Stairs (so cute!)
Tiny Square Lantern (over the squirrel’s head, and the collage sheet he’s on is included, too!)
Polymer Clay Red Mushroom Slices
Miniature Brown Path Pebbles (that Rhonda used as “stone” in the arch over the door)

You can view all of the items in Rhonda’s Supply List, but only(!) the items above are included in today’s prize.

And a bonus! Not used in this scene, I’m also adding the New Toadstools Collage Sheet! (Such a useful group, designed by Nichola Battilana! See a photo below; and it’s included in the Flash Sale!)

To enter the Mushroom Village Giveaway drawing all you have to do is leave a comment BELOW on this blog post TODAY or TOMORROW (the deadline is 11:59 pm PST, FRIDAY Night, August 28, 2020).

And tell me: what will you make from this big group of items?

Don’t forget to leave your (hello!) correct email address, too, so I can contact the winner; your email address does not need to be made public. Note: I’m offering free shipping, too, but only within the USA. International shipping will still apply.

Please be patient! Spammers try to post crap here a lot so comments are moderated. So if you donít see your post in the comments section, be patient and check back in a few hours before re-posting it, please!

Who won the Welcome to Atlantis Faux Book Giveaway from the last newsletter? That would be Rosalie Lunger! Congrats! Check your email for info.
