Twinkly Stars! Tons of New Goodies plus 2 Starry Artworks!

Filed under Celestial Papers, Lucky Star Kit, Miniatures, Rhonda Secrist Thomas, Shannon Cooper

A few of today’s back-in-stock minis inspired me to revisit TWO sparkly celestial projects. Starting with that beauty below by Shannon Cooper: Twinkle Tinkerer’s Workshop! See more photos and info.

Eek: before I forget… the Lucky Star 6×6 Paper Set at right is new today (note: smaller than the prints used in the 2 art projects below but from the same designs).

Don’t forget to read to the bottom for the DISCOUNT code on the sale collection (which includes all the new and back-in-stock goodies mentioned in this newsletter)!

Returning to the artwork: three back in stock supplies in Shannon’s Artwork are just below the wide art pic… All were gussied up with glitter or copper paint!

New Tools

Maybe not all tools per se (like that fab stepstool) but all would fit right in with Shannon’s project… AND all these miniatures are also in today’s sale collection… see the COUPON below.

Star Filled Dreams by Design Team Member Rhonda Thomas

Oooh! What a beautiful little scene! Rhonda used half-scale items for this project (which surprisingly work well with the (fairly large) prints on the 12×12 papers.

Here’s an intro from Rhonda’s blog post to get us started:

It brings my spirit peace when I am creating, especially when it is a miniature space that I can get lost in. The latest kit from Alpha Stamps, “Lucky Star”, is put together to make the perfect creative escape.

I began with this Square Half Scale Corner Room Box. After easily putting it together with a tad of glue, I gave it a light coat of white paint. I don’t like to paint the chipboard too much because it might warp if I get it too wet. One thing that really helped in the design was how beautifully this set of Lucky Star 12×12 Scrapbook Papers are, it made it easy to put the room together.

For my side table, I used an image from the Mini Alchemy Half Collage Sheet. I also used a vintage cufflink as framed art.

The Half Scale Bed was super easy to create. Again, after gluing it together I added a tad of white paint. To make the bedspread, I simply cut off the amount of paper to “reach the floor” and kept the trim on the top that shows what the other side of the paper has on it. It made for a perfect fold over on the bed spread. Next, I shaped the paper over the bed and made a scalloped trim with some shaped scissors.

Clever: making a comforter and pillow cases with scalloped edges!
