Cirque Theatre by Kristin Batsel + a FREE Collage Sheet!

Filed under Art Projects, Cirque Paper Theatre Kit, Giveaways, Kristin Batsel, Newsletters

I love the Cirque Theatre by Design Team Member Kristin Batsel! (As with all of Kristin’s artwork) she lavishes attention on the details!

Details like draping the Miniature Star Garland to match the curves on the “Cirque” signage (from the Paper Theatre Cirque Collage Sheet); and antiquing the red Dresden borders to match the darker red in the papers from the Cirque Theatre Kit; and angling the small set of Metal Hands to fit a vintage clown pick.

(See below for my own variation on that vintage clown-head pick Kristin has set atop her proscenium.)

And look at that cute little clown in the close-up at left (ok… reading on the job, but still cute)! I love how Kristin artfully sanded/distressed the papers (over the New Small Wooden Theatre Base he’s sitting on) to give them an antique appearance. (The papers are from the July Kit.)

Here’s Kristin’s Supply List. Treat yourself and visit Kristin’s blog to see more pictures. (Psst… be sure to come back ’cause those metal frames in the next section are to die for!)

And how could I forget!? I’ve created my own version of the vintage clown pick Kristin used at the top of her theatre! I’ve gathered some little clowns (and provided them as reversed, mirror images, too — in case you want to make your picks double-sided or you need one to face left or right). See the photo for a couple I cut out (just glue or tape them to toothpicks and you’re ready to go)! I also included a couple sets of hands in case you want to pose hands, too. Did I mention this is a FREE collage sheet? Get more info here.

AND, today, July 17th, is the final day of the Circus/Clowns Collage Sheets Sale (in honor of the Cirque Theatre Kit)! Today is also the final day of the half-price sale on these 3 clown rubber stamps:
Coin Bank Clown Rubber Stamp
Scary Clown Rubber Stamp
