What do you collect?

This kit started with the new Architextures 8×8 Paper Pad. It’s a fun set of images… all kinds of shabby chic things, from picture frames (with odd portraits) to doors and windows (and some big things like the side of an old building and a car). By the way, the page of doors in this pad is a good size for making a little scene seen through the window in the new Gatefold Window Card (the window card is also in the kit).
Speaking of the window card, see below for 2 wide photos showing off artwork made with the card (each of which is a different idea). Teri Calia made a double-sided standing card (on a wood rubber stamp mount as a base) with inside/outside scenes. And Caroline Ouzts-Hay made a gatefold mini book with a surprise “reveal” inside. Both unique and clever ideas!
I created 3 new collage sheets in the kit (plus a bonus mini collage sheet exclusive to the kit):

– In My Art Studio Collage Sheet (Wow! This is a big bunch of odd things! I thought about my craft room and some of my friends before I gathered this group of items (all sized small enough to work with the Gatefold Window Card).)
Back to that question: What do you collect?
I’m going to be creating collage sheets all month based on what YOU collect! What other little props (or furniture?) would you want to use in a window card showing YOUR studio (things you actually collect or your fantasy art studio). So what do you collect? My mind is swirling with ideas for the Collector’s Room- I save bits and pieces in tea cups in my cabinets and on my sewing shelves-a display of sequins, beads, oddly shaped peanuts, teeny toys, bottles, seashells and bitsy dolls and miniature shoes-what a display these could make!
OH! Tiny paintings and I’ll load up this tiny cabinet with them! Thank you
I love the gatefold window card! I’d want to use stamp-related things for cardmaking as my collectibles! Ink pads, colored pens and markers, paper, ribbons and embellishments, and stamps!
I collect antique porcelain dolls and accessories, ephemera, vintage Halloween and antique fabrics and sewing items. So many options.
I love crafting related things and music boxes!
I collect (hoard) art supplies so I would need little containers, boxes, and shelves to stack it all on.
I collect seashells and mermaids. I’d add them to my window.
I collect the odd and unusual. Things of magic and wonder. Objects that whisper small secrets. Little things that open your mind to great mysteries. Can you dig it?
I collect old buttons, tiny vintage French poodle figures, vintage books of poetry, old cigar boxes, old ephermera (I love old letters from mid century), and post cards.
Love the window. I would make a little shabby chic scene with maybe a rocking chair and a little quilt and lots of flowers. I’ve been collecting little flowers for years!
I collect all kinds of stuff but cat items are the number 1. I love miniature things so I make shadow boxes to display all the cute things I collect. I also collect scrapbooking stuff or should I say hoard it. >^..^<
I collect snow globe, nutcrackers and fairies. Would love to have a collage made of those.
I collect globes…I have more than 50, all sizes and colors and ages–even multiple languages. (I do not, however, have the strong grasp of geography you might expect…just love them for their aesthetic quality)

I love to collect papers I have tons of papers and collage sheets I would love to see more tiny chairs and tiny tables with tiny wine glasses

I collect glass paperweights. Tiny ones would be awesome!
I collect snowman and Christmas things, both real life and miniature.
I like natural things. Often I pick up old nails or interesting looking pieces of wood and I love to go to the beach. I have lots of shells, shark teeth and sometimes coral if it’s washed ashore. Anything that strikes my fancy when I’m out and about. Today I found a little mustache comb on the ground at a flea market. No idea what I’ll do with it, but couldn’t resist picking it up.
Holiday things and tea cups and tea pots and books! Actually I collect everything! This is such a neat chippie too and so many things you could use it for whether you are looking in or out. It would make a lovely window looking into a Beatrix Potter type store too. Ginger and Pickles was always a favorite of mine. Or a millinery shop would be fun so hats and small items.
I love collecting ribbon and buttons. Love any small objects that are rusty.
I love collecting broken jewelry to recycle and bits of vintage lace. So boxes of all shapes would be wonderful.
Have read everyone’s comments and with nearly each one I chuckle and said “yep, me too….” I love little things I can tuck into a scene or add a bit of “huh” that prompts a “where did you come up with that” comment! I love little boxes and containers to tuck things into to feel like I’m organizing when I am really just stashing little treasures away….
I collect tiny teady bears,ephemera, santas,vaseline glass,marbles, buttons, quaint old books, and memories!
I collect buttons. Jars of them would be cute.
I love the window. I might turn it into a shadow box for a Halloween theme. I’d love to fill it with miniature potion bottles, so store shelving and more potion bottles please!
I collect Halloween folk art. Black cats, pumpkins, etc with those crazy vintage faces and shapes

I’m an indiscriminate collector, if I weren’t so neat, I’d be called a hoarder. You guys already have everything I could imagine, and the flamingos are barnone—i rec’d two flamingos from a shipment years ago from someone and they still on my desk, peering at me!!!!!! This little window thingy is one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen!!!!!
Art Supply sheet with paint brushes, jars, water cups, pencils, sketchbooks, scissors, easels, chalks, and all the rest of the things you need for creating art. I collect all types of cameras. A sheet with old and new cameras would be nice. Tripods, lenses, film, canisters etc…

I can’t believe what I just saw, I am making a two story multi room shadow box with different themes including a library. This will all go so great in there. Now my inspiration is so strong I can’t wait to finish. Since I love found objects in glass jars a window display of such objects would be so sweet.
