Note: most of the links on this post no longer work, as we moved to a new Web site in 2018. However, you can see the supply list items from Laura’s project that are still available on the new site.
What? A new FREE Gift Kit! It’s getting close to Valentine’s Day (and there are some spiffy new papers perfect for a romantic project with cream and red colors below) AND Design Team Member Laura Carson has a sparkly new project today with lots of glitter… so a Hearts & Flowers & Glitter FREE Gift Kit.
This group all started with those iridescent heart beads (one in my hand in photo at left… and another in the lower right of the larger photo). The are so lively that I kept adding more and more colors to this mix as they pick up and reflect the colors so beautifully. So you’ll get a little packet of mixed beads, like the photo at right. AND a little bottle of glitter! (It’s one part of the recipe from the Winter Snow Glitter Mix… packaged in one of the 12 Tiny Glass Bottles). These mini kits are FREE for ALL orders, now through MONDAY NIGHT, January 30, 2017!
BONUS: check below in the Giveaway for info on a FLASH sale related to Laura’s artwork and the Giveaway!
Wow! Just what we need on a cold, grey Winter’s day! I love this Pretty in Red Triptych by Laura Carson! (Yes, it is a triptych… see below in the Giveaway section for 2 more of the panels… and a chance to win EVERYTHING in Laura’s supply list!!)
Starting with a new collage sheet (also by Laura): Pretty in Red. Those festive vintage babes, some in (most in?) bright red will add a splash of color to lots of projects. (Psst… you may notice that some of these ladies were also used in last Sunday’s Winter Park project — a couple of them were sitting in the sleigh.)
Here’s a preview from Laura’s Blog Post:
The inspiration for this triptych were the lovely ladies dressed for winter, which you will find on my new Pretty in Red collage sheet — the red is a nod to Valentine’s.
To complement the color scheme of their coats, I’ve used silver, grey, red and white, papers and embellishments.
In addition to the winter ladies, the new collage sheet also contains coordinating flowers and leaves which I have used as embellishments.
Just as with the previous Winter Park project, I added lots of icy sparkle using Twinklets Diamond Dust.

I think these would make some cute store windows!
I envision a scene of these lovely ladies walking through the forest with snow gently falling around them and wildlife peeking around the corners at every turn! What a pretty scene it is in my mind! Want to help me bring it to life? here’s my email in case I win: macaskillbarbara @yahoo .com
Fingers crossed!
I would do a Triptych with old world cupids. I think that would be pretty for Valentines Day.
Vintage! Many vintage catalog cards.
Love the vintage ladies
Oh how I love this I love the collage sheets I would def do a triptych as well I just love everything in this giveaway Thanks you
Beautiful. Thinking of doing a window shopping scene with Valentines items inside, ladies in red looking in, and a man or two buying.
I am going to get them and incorporate them in the Winter Park, then put them up in a china cabinet for display next winter. We have had nothing but snow in Idaho since before Christmas, and they would be wonderful right now!
Store windows is a great idea!
Ooh red….my fav color! I love what Laura Carson did…I would make something similar. Loving the vintage ladies.
Love the Pretty in Red Triptych! I would make one like Laura’s! It’s beautiful!
I would like to add a man in the middle all decked out in his finery.
I would make a triptych also. I would like to try to hang the snowflakes with line around the boarders? Love the color red and Laura once again have amazed and inspired! Thank you.
Thought I had an original idea but I see others thought about it also. I see a beautiful vintage department store window display
I love this, the red is beautiful and one of my favorite colors!! Absolutely beautiful!!!!
I just love these ladies in all the sets of collage sheets Laura has come up with. The expressions are so perfect. I like collecting all the images of them with big shopping bags and boxes I plan to make a scene with those once it all comes together.
Would make sometimes similar but change the frame color to black. Love snowflakes and diamond dust.
These are gorgeous images. I would like to put them into an altered book.
Right away I saw Valentines Day, all that red with pretty ladies and beautiful winter clothing.
Would use some of the Christmas decor that has been added to the give-a-way.
Thanks so much.

Ohhh I love the idea of store windows!
Don’t think I can improve on Laura’s gorgeous triptych, but you do always want to add your own spin…what fun to play with the supplies!
I have a banner on the wall in my guest room. I have a pretty good one for Halloween and I want to make others to change with the seasons. This would be super for winter maybe with some other stuff from the lovely skater people sheet.
What a delightful scene! I envision something similar to send to my daughter who lives in a warm climate to remind her of home – cold!
This is a great project with so many possibilities. I love the red with the snow. I’d make a winter tryptic as well with my own additions.
I would love to make something for Valentine’s day. Lovely!!
How pretty! It reminds me of the fashion show paper dolls YSL made when he was a teen (that I saw at an art gallery retrospective of his work). It would be fun to focus on the fashion aspect.
I always love to make Laura’s projects. A ladies day outing in winter triptych would be perfect!
This is soooo pretty! Love the Art Deco looking ladies. Love red too! I would either make something similar to this, or use the collage sheet ladies to add as ‘wall art’ to a ladies boutique I have planned. Congrats to Marge!
I have been saving some altoid tins and it would be fun do a winter themed tin with these lovely ladies. An icy blue background would really make the red pop.
I would make an altered book with a “Christmas Album” theme! I love this giveaway, so many beautiful elements! Thanks!
Some I would use for Valentine Cards but I think I would save some for Christmas cards. Such a lovely red.
I think I’d like to make a shadow box
I am CRAZY for this triptych!! I would LOVE to make one of these!!! the reds are so festive and so beautiful in such gloomy and bleak weather…..
I would add other pieces and make a fashion show for Valentine’s Day!
Valentine’s Day cards!
I just ADORE Laura’s piece, so I would have to make something similar!
Truthfully I would love to copy your beautiful design!
I LOVE what Laura created and would be tempted to copy it. Instead, I would do a Valentine’s Day theme and could use most of the supplies and add my own embellishments like hearts, lace, etc., and save the beautiful snowflakes for a Xmas project in Nov./Dec. 2017.
A valentine for my valentine of course!
My Valentine’s Day wedding was black and white and red. I would love to create an anniversary shrine with Laura’s collection.
Maybe do a fashionable ladies ice skating party
I hate to be a copycat, but I’d CASE Laura’s triptych like nobody’s business! It’s absolutely gorgeous! Someone else said cupids, and that would be cool too!
I think store windows would be great to create!
Such lovely ladies! I really hope I win
I would make a valentine ! These ladies are beautiful!!
What beauty! I would make a small journal for winter thoughts. Thanks for the giveaway!
I would make a winter fashion shadow box!
Anything, would be beautiful using the Ladies
I would probably make some kind of window display maybe with a Valentine theme or possibly a Christmas scene for next year. Love the fashion style of the ladies.
How pretty this will be on my buffet! This time of year we need color!
