One quick reminder before the beautiful artwork by TWO Design Team Members: The 50% off Sale on Venice/Carnival Collage Sheets ENDS TUESDAY NIGHT February 7, 2016 (Fat Tuesday)!
(The Arlecchina Collage Sheet and Art Deco Valentine Collage Sheet from the sale section are shown at left. And another is included in the Giveaway below.)
As part of her countdown to Valentines Day, Design Team Member Laura Carson has two more beautiful, romantic themed pieces to share.
“I started by covering a piece of chipboard with the Papillon Scrapbook Paper, adding an image from the Juliet Collage Sheet and one of the frames from my Elegant Frames Set Download. Oh, I also printed the frame twice and cut away part of the bottom of the frames (the back of the frame is covered with coordinating cardstock). I love using large frame images to give a piece structure.
Next came the smaller burgundy and white roses to the tag. At the bottom there is a Chipboard Wrought Iron Flourish painted gold, two Dresden white swans rubbed with Inca Gold Gilders Paste and black Swarovski crystals for eyes. The final touch is the red and gold glass heart bead.”
Star Crossed Lovers Supply List
For the Queen of Hearts, I used the reverse side of the Papillon Scrapbook Paper, an image from the Juliette Collage Sheet as well as the same frame that I used for the Star Crossed Lovers.
[Psst: the Black & Ivory Harlequin Diamond Scrapbook Paper is a good substitute for the black & white diamond patterned paper used as the background.]
I added half of a chipboard gate (painted gold) to give the piece even more of an architectural feel. Once the gate was on, I glued the image on top of it then started building her heart crown. For the base of the crown, I used one of the crowns from the Natures Crowns Collage Sheet.
Using Heart Stick Pins I added small heart beads and glued the stickpins behind the crown. In the center is a glass heart bead to the stickpin in addition to the small heart bead. The final touch is the Sugared Mini Blooms with acrylic leaves.

How amazing is this Gypsy Wagon that Design Team Member Nichola Battilana is so crazy about? Oh the possibilities with this!
“This Gypsy Wagon. It was love at first sight. I swooned. I ‘oohed’ and ‘ahhhed’. Finally, I could resist no longer and had my way with it!
The 4 Panel Windows are a good fit for the side openings and these Victorian Scroll Corners look amazing as decorative elements on the wagon. I’ve placed a Faux Metal Number Plate on the back… just because I’m smitten with them and use them at every opportunity.
Now for my full-on gushing. There are plenty of opportunities for embellishment with this piece. You could go absolutely bonkers with filigrees, frills and decorations. You could lose yourself in colour and trims. Really, this is one of those projects to pull out that ‘something special’ that you’ve been saving for just the right time. It’s a crafty splurge! AND… don’t forget the insides! Even with the roof fixed into place it’s fun to peek through the windows and see what the little people have been up to.

I love this Vardo! I would definitely do a magical gypsy wagon at least this time. I can see a whole caravan in my future. There is so much scope for the imagination here everything from gypsies to goblins and Halloween. I love those little hearts and the butterfly paper and the idea of a bark covered roof. I would use birch bark I think and whatever little bits I can forage out of the woods here. I am wondering just how much of the furniture I can fit inside. And I would like to find a way for the roof to be removable. This is one of the best give-a-ways I have seen!!! I would just love to win this!!!!!
I just love how you have designed and decorated this gypsy wagon. If I were to think differently I would make a rolling fresh goodies shop. It would have breads, sweets, fruits and vegetables. Fresh flowers maybe. I honestly would keep it gypsy themed but do it my way….but my idea to be different would be traveling fresh goods market.
This gypsy wagon is great! U think I would have to make a love match maker gypsy wagon!
I think it would be great as a travel in medicine show!! All the apothecaries and a table set up in front with all the potions and elixirs….the traveling salesman of things that cure everything from gout to things you didn’t even know you had!!!!
I’m going with painting it glossy black and making it a transport for a vampire..even the glass heart would fit in with this motif! LOVE IT!
Oh how fabulous!! The possibilities are endless! I see Halloween. (But then, I almost always see Halloween!! I WANT THIS!
I would create a Gypsy wagon to give my husband for our 25th wedding anniversary next month as he is Roma (what the Gypsies call themselves….the word Gypsy is frought with serous historical inaccuracies). He is a renowned dancer from Russia so there would be a dance theme as well.
A gypsy wagon it would be. A little travelling fortune telling wagon.
My heart just swooned! I would make a hippie wagon. It would be brightly colored and super awesome! Or maybe a fantastic traveling coffee house staffed with little fairies. I hope I win!

Love the traveling gypsy wagon idea.
This is Mrs. Toddle’s Traveling Tea Party. She travels town to town and everyone loves to see her, for she is a lovable eccentric old soul who tells fortunes, solves an occasional mystery, and sometimes travels with a guest or two, like a mischievous fairy or Alice or the March Hare. But lest you take her for granted, she is expert with her shotgun and pearl handled pistol. Exotic and amazing teas, black licorice (her favorite), home baked goodies and fine stories by her campfire can always be counted upon when Mrs. Toddle comes to town!
I love the Gypsy Wagon. I would make it into a table top night light. I would find or make gypsy dolls/family to go with it. I would treat it with UV resistant, water resistant spray to keep it nice. It would go very well with my Bohemian decor.
I am a gypsy. so this is a no brainer!

OH mY! I have always wanted a real Gypsy wagon ! I am so happy you have these ! So many ideas!! I would like to make one into a fantasy gypsy wagon and add fabrics and pillows to the inside even..I would also make a Halloween one with a witch to go in with her Such magical ideas I have! I need a few !
I’d use the Natures Crowns collage sheet to set the nature theme on my wagon. Bright, fun colors, and that collage sheet, and maybe moss for the top. I would fill it with miniature plants! (I hope I can remember how to make them!).
Oh, my. I see this as a magical Pixie Traveling van, pulled by field mice with garlands of tiny woodland flowers. Dancing, twirling pixies weave their magic to the strains of tiny violins played by dashed lay swarthy pixie troubadours. Romance blossoms in the jasmine scented air….
Beautiful
I see a gypsy caravan in my future. One that I could travel in cross-country. Boho style. Love it!
Being a miniaturist, I have always wanted one of these! I can see it as a little girly weekend hide-a-way for the lady of the house. Just a spot to get away and curl up with the kitties and read a good book!! This is super cute, and so are the gates! Would be an awesome item to win!
I love these items I would try to make rest wagon thank you
I see a retired gypsy living in her caravan surrounded by gardens
I love the wagon theme. It’s so unique. I have used the gypsy collage sheets to make collage boxes with cigar boxes. I gave one to my daughter’ mother in law with scratch off tickets and she won $100 so I think they’re good luck!
I have been waiting for this one! Oooh, I’d love to do a Matchmaker’s Caravan! Perhaps the home of a little old fortune teller who specializes in finding husbands and wives for lovelorn folk she meets in her travels.
