Design Team Member Nichola Battilana presents a Fairy Godmother Travelling Sales Wagon that makes you want to put yourself into a shrinky-dink machine so you can hawk magical wares.
“There’s a special place in my heart for fairy godmothers. Those fluttery, frilly, silly ladies make me positively giddy. I’ve often wondered where they get their godmotherly supplies from. Is there a shop? A fancy boutique? A travelling salesman!
And so this month I’ve created a tiny travelling sales wagon with magical and glittery godmother paraphernalia. The base is a Square Shrine Shadowbox to which I have added Tiny Fancy Wheels. I’ve also added Floral and Lace Border Strips for some flourish and a (New!) Mini Chipboard Crest heralds potential customers to the godmotherly goods.
Inside the wagon, all manner of items required for godmotherly duties. Fairy dust (in an adorable 2 Inch Glass Bottle), candy, pumpkins to turn into carriages; as well as Absinthe and stout to whet the pallet!”
Other themes that would be awesome in the “wagon” are Steampunk, a travelling bakery, quack medicine, or how about a travelling bar?
Oh! And those new miniature glass bottles (see pics below) would be fab inside a travelling wagon!

Beautiful tags by Laura and a great giveaway! I’d use the items to embellish a mini album for my hubby of pics of us together to give to him for Valentine’s Day.

So wonderful! I would be very tempted to make a fairy godmother wagon too! I adore it.
I would make a gypsy mouse wagon!
so cute!
Memories for sale, the traveling wagon full of vintage photos, keys, and small objects to trigger forgotten memories.
I would make the zebra wagon. Love it!!
I love the little bottles! I live in Ohio and occasionally see an Amish wagon going down the road. The pumpkins, as produce, would be perfect for the supplies they carry and I’d fill the clear bottles with flour to look like baking supplies. The wheels would be a perfect fit for this type of wagon. How fun!
I think I would do a similar idea but do a travelling shop for all faeries.. Wings and things, I would call it. The best selection of wings around!
I would make a shrine to spring. What a fun project!
I would definitely make a fairy godmother sales wagon. That is beautiful!
As a fairy godmother myself, I highly recommend this project!
I’d go with the old, timey’ Medicine Wagon from the Old West days. Lots of tonics for the blood (read ‘alcohol’) and remedies for all sorts of ailments (read ‘more alcohol’). Lots of gypsy collage sheets to accent with and I daresay I’d make up my own collage sheet with travelling medicine man pics! Oh, hahahahahahaha. I actually said that with a straight face. No. No way. Not even getting into it with photoshop. I’ll leave that to the professionals.
I love this miniature tableaux. My office at work is a bit standard (boring). It has very plain, slightly industrial (but not in a cool way) shelves above my desk. I have a number of little Japanese kawaii figures and I’ve been wanting to fill in one shelf with tons of little scenes and shrines and dioramas to house all those little folks.
If I made a wagon, I’d actually make a funeral procession! I have an adorable and shy little grim reaper named Adios. He has a little cat who has a scythe on its tail. I would make them a kooky little wagon to drive them over to pick up Adios’s girlfriend Ciao Ciao for a picnic in a graveyard.
Here’s a link to Adios and his world.

I would definitely be making a Fairy wagon also! My Fairy Village needs a set of wheels so the Fairy storekeepers can go out into the world and share their wares with the fairies who are unable to get into the shop! Thanks for the chance to add the wheels that Fairyland needs!
When I hear pumpkins and glass bottles, I think of Halloween (never too early to do that!). So I would make a Halloween shadowbox — maybe a witch’s wagon. 🙂
