The Jolly Christmas Houses of Jingle Lane by Design Team Member Kristin Batsel

Now that Halloween has passed, it’s time for (you guessed it!) Christmas crafts. I love these houses from Alpha Stamps; they are so easy to put together, and really fun to decorate. In this post, I’ll show you three fun ways to use them during the holidays. First up: a little Christmas scene. Add a few bottle brush trees and a tiny Santa, and ho, ho, ho — let’s visit Jingle Lane!

Here’s number 24. Green and red striped candy canes flank the front entrance, and Christmas lights adorn the roof. The doors and windows have tissue paper behind them, so the houses look lovely with a small battery operated tea light inside.

Number 25 Jingle Lane has a beaded swag outlining their roof and a cookie cutter star for decoration. Candy sprinkles look like flowers under the windows.

Here’s a third option for displaying the houses: tie a long ribbon to the clip, and hang them. They’re so pretty with the lights inside. I’ll talk a bit about the doors and windows and how that glow is achieved below.

Wow! So much good stuff in those few paragraphs! (Thank you, Kristin!) You’ll have to visit Kristin’s blog post to learn more about the tissue paper in the windows (to let light pass through). A note: There are multiple sizes of windows on the Mini House Doors & Windows set Kristin used. One of them does perfectly fit the window holes pre-cut in the house… Kristin chose a different window (and a door) so she gives tips on making larger holes.

Here’s Kristin’s full supply list (with a few highlighted below that wide photo below… and read on as there’s a sale built around that supply list)!

New Scrapbook Papers (mostly Christmas theme)

First: there’s the Simply Christmas 6×6 Paper Pad. Note that the 8×8 pad Kristin used in her artwork above is sold out (though the larger 12×12 set from the same collection is on sale — more info below). BUT the cute little prints in this new 6×6 pad may be just the thing for your house treat box.

Plus a brick patterned paper with smaller bricks! (I’m always on the lookout for small architectural prints.)

NEW: Christmas Treat Boxes SALE

This is a coupon sale in honor of the art project above!

But first: there’s a new Rustic Christmas Gift Kit! See the photo at right for the items in the kit:
– One of the back in stock Mini Bronze Butterfly Paper Clips
– A mini set from the Rejoice Christmas Baking Custom 12×12 Paper Set (a 3×3 cut from all 3 papers in the set; note that I’m showing both sides in the photo)
– A snip from the Crepe Ribbon – Red – 3/4 Inch
– One of the Red Bird Wooden Buttons (which has nothing to do with Kristin’s project but they caught my eye)
(Those last 2 items were added to the sale, too! The first 2 were already in the sale: the clips as Kristin used them in her artwork; the paper set (and the Sweet Treats Collage Sheet and Mini Christmas Chocolate Cake Mix) as I added the remaining single items that are in the Christmas Baking Treat Box Kit.)

This set is FREE with all orders placed today through TUESDAY (ends at midnight November 15, 2022)!

Use coupon TREAT when checking out to get an additional 20% off on EVERYTHING in this collection!

The sale ends TUESDAY NIGHT, November 15th at midnight PST.

See the entire sale collection here! (Remember it includes everything in Kristin’s supply list, too!)
