Eat A Cake – A Mini Recipe Book by Design Team Member Shannon Cooper!

So clever! Shannon made an apron front attached to a 2.5×2.5 Kraft Folding Box (to make it stand up and to hide a tiny recipe booklet inside)! Plus she provides instructions for making the tiny booklet!

And… as there’s a new sale on (the new) Mini Recipe Book Collection: everything in Shannon’s project is on sale!

Back to today’s artwork: here’s an intro from Shannon’s blog post:

I’d like to say I have managed to complete my To Do list for the week and then had time to make some art. Well, the To Do list is only half-way finished and I scrapped the rest so I could get to the making art part. It’s not like the laundry is going anywhere.

Spending an afternoon creating something is a great stress-reliever. I can focus on a project, even for an hour or two, and I’m happier afterward. When I decide to ditch the dishes and craft a little thing, I am grateful to have a stash of monthly kits from Alpha Stamps. I know I can pick one up and have it finished before too long, feel like I’ve accomplished something rewarding, and still have time to feed people. But who cares about all of that, let’s see some art!

I’m still having fun with the Tiny Retro Bakery Box Kit from January and all of its parts. For such a teensy kit, it has loads of things to play around with! I turned my kit into a mini apron box with an itty bitty recipe book tucked inside.

Great job, Shannon!! See the wide photos below for TWO close-ups of the project!

You can see more photos (and a tutorial on making the tiny booklet) on Shannon’s blog post. And here’s her supply list. (Plus see below for more info on the related new sale!)

New Collage Sheet?! Yes! Not used in Shannon’s artwork but totally related (beside today being Valentine’s Day!): I was inspired by Shannon’s tiny booklet and whipped up The Well-Dressed Cat Collage Sheet! Such a sweet group! From cats in fancy Victorian ball gowns to the Three Little Kittens (and 3 cuties dressed as Cupid with a quiver of arrows and fairy wings)!

Note these images are in 2 general sizes: the larger ones made to fit the Punch & Judy Theatre (plus all of the niche shrines) and the smaller ones made to fit the Half Scale Punch & Judy Theatre and 2.5×2.5 Folding Boxes (like the one in Shannon’s apron artwork).
