New Miniature Artwork by Shannon Cooper & related FLASH SALE!

Filed under Art Projects, Giveaways, Miniatures, Newsletters, Sale, Shannon Cooper

That Design Team Member Shannon Cooper is such a wonder! Just look at the tiny Bus Stop, 1950 below!

First of all, for scale, yes that little scene is inside an Altoids Tin lid (filled with new Green Turf Grass… with some yellow “leaves” from sprinkles of fluff from the tree). I’m not sure what Shannon used as leaves, but some tiny bits of the Clump Foliage – Fall Mix would work well for tiny “leaves” in this scale.

The people and the bench (both new) are 1:48 scale (and the other items pressed into service look right at home in this 1/4 scale scene).

I love the transformation Shannon made of a Tiny Little Shadowbox House with a couple of the window panes on the sides (from the many window options) from the new Station Details Doors & Windows. (Those windows are made for half scale (1:24 scale) but Shannon used just a couple of the window panes from a larger window for her wee bus stop building.)

And the sidewalk? It’s made from leftover chipboard pieces (meant to be the roof of the Tiny Little Shadowbox House)!

Next up in surprising transformations: that little bus stop sign (and the trash can behind it): a round number bead is the sign (on a toothpick) and the trash can is a piece of a Christmas tree light (see the little inset photo).

Great job, Shannon! There’s even more info about surprising craft supplies on Shannon’s blog post. And here’s a link to all her supplies.

Die-Cut 3D Chipboard ON SALE!

I just finished some housekeeping, and I’ve split the Die-Cut Chipboard into FIVE sections:
Die-Cut 3D in the collage supplies section (various sizes)
Chipboard Kits in the miniatures section (a mix of 3D and flat items in smaller sizes with specs for 1:12 or 1:24 scales)
Die-Cut Borders & Fences & Trims (all the ornate goodies like wrought iron fences)
Die-Cut Frames & Windows
Die-Cut Shapes (this is a mix of flat chipboard items in simpler silhouette shapes, plus envelopes and ticket journals that are scored for folding, AND all of the laser-cut acrylic items, too)

Since the little house Shannon used as her bus stop is in the Die-Cut 3D section — that whole section is on SALE at 20% off!

Over 100 options… including the 4 highlights below. You’d think with all that rearranging that the new sections wouldn’t be this large, but we have a lot of chipboard!

The sale ends at midnight on Friday night, January 18th.
