Summer Vacation Memory Book (+ FREE Gift Kit & Giveaway!)

Keeping with the travel theme of the Vintage Voyage Kit, Design Team Member Caroline Ouzts-Hay has created a very cute Summer Vacation Memory Book.
Follow Betty Lou, Susan and Mom as they travel from one fabulous location to the next. They’re very careful to keep mementos in the adorable ATC-sized book that Caroline has made for their trip around the world in the summer of 1910.
The book has pages made from ATCs and lots of little envelopes (to hold reminders of a once-in-a-lifetime adventure); I love how Caroline wrote down little details of the trip throughout the book. Being a pen fanatic (I know you’re shocked — yet another obsession for me!) I really like the Tim Holtz Pen Nibs (with journaling text embossed on them). The favorite images for me are from the Hobble Skirts Collage Sheet — such amazing clothing in Edwardian times!
Throughout the book Caroline used scrapbook papers from the Maritime Collection (which is so gorgeous!) beautiful fibers, Dresden and pages from a Smash Pad. It’s so fun to imagine life in different times, isn’t it?

One thing I love about the travel album is that the base of it is Kraft paper and envelopes. I prefer to craft with those and they are great as a neutral background for showcasing the embellishments you use. (Plus I just like kraft paper.) Thanks for the chance to win one!

Very nice. The one huge thing I love about this book is that it’s small. I think people have this notion that scrapbooks, albums or any kind of travel book has to be huge. But you’ve showed us it doesn’t have to be that way. Absolutely love it!
