Day 3 Theme & Giveaway: Hearts & Cherubs

Filed under Cat's Away... 2012, Giveaways, Sale, Valentine's Day

Hey, it’s Day 3 of the While the Cat’s Away… Giveaways! And today’s theme is Hearts & Cherubs.

So, a little birdie told me some of you are needing some Valentine’s Day goodies. Not a problem! In addition to the ENTIRE Valentines & Romance Collage Sheets and Charms – Hearts & Cherubs sections both being on sale today, I’ve just added a New! Resin Cherub Set (and put it on sale, too)!

If you’re wondering which of those On Sale! Collage Sheets I included in the kit, here’s the list:
Souhaits Sinceres (Sincere Wishes)
Mischievous Cupid
Love Letters #1
Winged Cupid
Cupid Postcards #2
Dapper Dudes

Here’s how these While the Cat’s Away DAILY Sales and Giveaways will work: I’ve gathered items around a theme (related to whatever’s on sale today) and put together a Giveaway Kit that will be awarded to one lucky person (click on the photos at right to see even more of the Hearts & Cherubs Giveaway Kit).

To enter the Hearts & Cherubs Giveaway drawing all you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post (don’t forget to leave your email address, too, so I can contact the winner; note, your email address does not need to be made public). Please be patient! Spammers try to post crap here a lot so comments are moderated. So if you don’t see your post in the comments section, be patient and check back in a few hours before re-posting it, please!

And I have a special request… when you leave a comment (to enter the drawing for today’s fab package), please tell me which of the Dresden Scraps below you like best (let’s just call them ‘left’, ‘middle’ and ‘right’ — that’s vaguely ‘birds and pillows’, ‘numerals’, and ‘large cherubs’ from left to right). And why you like them, if you would (color? size? usefulness all year ’round? something else?) They’re also included in the Giveaway Kit but I haven’t decided if I’m buying more for the site. (Again, click on each photo to see the whole sheet.)

After midnight I’ll randomly pick the previous day’s winner (via Random.org). So make sure to check back tomorrow to see who won and to see what’s on offer for Day 4 of the Sales & Giveaways!

More info on the Holiday Closure & Giveaway Rules (including how you can get entered twice in each day’s drawing).

And please remember: Our offices are now closed. The whole “While the Cat’s Away” theme is ’cause I’m the only one here! For more info about shipping (which will start when the staff are all back on 1/2/13) and the sale in general, please see the While the Cat’s Away…” Daily Giveaways: Year 5! overview page.

A final note: Even though our offices are closed, DIGITAL Collage Sheet orders are still fulfilled in real time!

Another nice assortment! Personally, I see the most use for the birds and pillows, but that is also covered pretty well by your current stock, so may not be your best bet.

I am always intrigued with your posts. Love the one on the left the best. Vintage valentines are always my favorite in any medium.

  16. I’m not really off Christmas yet, but I guess I should be thinking ahead. What a lovely assortment. To be honest, I really love the design of the numerals best, but don’t think they would be as useful as the other two. All are beautiful, but I think I’d be inclined to use the birds and pillows at least 3/4 of the year. xxD

Love the left Dresden with birds and pillows. I would probably use it more often because of the birds in the piece. As always thanks for your generosity.

  26. love the birds, don’t care for the pillows – I know not what you like to hear, the birds are just appealing, they go with lots of year round uses, also love the cherubs, while they may be Valentine-ish I don’t see why they wouldn’t be use all year long also – that isn’t the only time to express love.

  48. Paula says:

The new Resin Cherubs are awesome! I can see putting them inside cabinet drawers as a guardian! Add some color…rosy cheeks for a start. Then attach them to a satin sachet…something with a light fragrance. Wait…maybe on a tiny velvet pillow, with silky ribbons…and a touch of perfume. As for the Dresden Scraps…I really like the one on the left the best; and then the middle one. The cherubs on the right just don’t seem real “cherubby” to me for some reason. (I guess the resin cherubs have caught my fancy.)

  49. cheryl says:

I Adore Your Site….the hardest part of being on it is deciding what you can live without on this purchase….or at least until your next order

  50. Marla b says:

Great goodies for valentines. I think the birds and pillows are the most versatile , I love everything numbers, and the cherubs will make lovely faux vintage valentines. Sorry but I can’t choose a favorite.

  53. Rima St.John says:

What a beautiful collection! The gorgeous, colorful cupids my favorites, I just love angels and cupids. I would size them… up or down. I believe these cupids can be used year round. They would work wonderfully in a collage with images of children and they would fit into a beautiful ‘angel reliquary’. Those new resin cherub sets are perfect for an angel reliquary (got to get me a set of those!). I would also color the scrap as well with some added caran d’ache crayons. These Dresden/ German scraps are wonderful and much can be done with them. Love the birds as well. Thank you for the opportunity of winning this post Christmas gift.

  54. Mary Pendergrass says:

Now you have me all ready for Valentines with this beautiful giveaway.
