Flowers, Beach & Mother Goose Collage Sheets

Filed under Collage Sheets, Fabric/Sewing, New Products, Nursery Rhymes, Rubber Stamps, Sale

Hi everyone and to most of you in the U.S., welcome to the first long vacation week of summer. (I wonder, with the Fourth of July falling on a Wednesday, how many people are just taking the whole week off?)

I’ve delved into my cache of children’s books and have started (re-started?) my series of nursery rhymes sheets. I’ve split the children’s illustrations collage sheets into two pages and have created a new Mother Goose page (with multiple sheets based on the “Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary” rhyme, a sheet from “Where are you going to, my pretty maid?” and a sheet of beautiful covers of some of my vintage Mother Goose books).

There’s also a new “My Lady’s Garden” kit, which is based on a collage sheet I designed specifically for making fabric postcards. It’s a good starter/trial size if you haven’t used a fabric collage sheet (and the long strips of flower borders or shells or music staves are good for binding the edges of a tiny fabric quilt square). You can also buy the kit with a cardstock collage sheet instead of fabric. The kit comes with 10 yards of ribbons and a fat quarter of red ticking.

There are also some new seashells (real and brass charms — for those cockle shells in Mary’s garden).

More new collage sheets include a Seashore sheet and a series of Summer Flowers pages (an English Rose, Iris and Pansies — with images from Ophelia’s “mad scene” speech in Hamlet: “There’s rosemary, that’s for remembrance; pray, love, remember: and there is pansies, that’s for thoughts.”)

I’ve added many other supplies this week:

New Paper Set

Paper/Stickers:

3-Sheet Black & White Scrapbook Paper Set.
Actually, more eggshell than stark white, and with some creased, yellowed folds (printed distressing, not really folded).

Journey Stickers and die-cut foam “sticker risers” that are cut to fit any of the tall sheets of stickers from 7Gypsies.

Seashells Gift Wrap Scraps
We had these huge sheets (nice, ivory-color, heavy, laid-finish paper) of beautiful gift wrap from Italy that were just too expensive to ship rolled. So we’ve cut them into strips of 5 rectangular designs (wasn’t that designer smart to sub-divide them for us?)
