Seashore Kit

A pretty mix of beachy items — in cool, calming colors to offset hot summer days.

Starting with the TWO new collage sheets:
Shells & Souvenir Postcards Collage Sheet (Tons of illustrated seashells (from Victorian scraps and postcards) and mini versions of souvenir postcards — including some tiny ones sized for 1:12 scale.)
Aqua Mermaids & Ladies by the Sea Collage Sheet (These were sized to fit inside Altoids Tins (or behind tin inserts). Most of these are aqua green (to coordinate with the paper in the kit) but I added a couple gals in vintage red bathing suits to add some contrast.)

Plus 4 double-sided sheets from the Vintage Artistry Shore 6×6 Paper Pad

A set of the new chipboard Sea Scape Layered Corner

Two vintage patina charms:
New Medium Patina Starfish
Brass Patina Conch Shell

Three tiny raw brass seashell charms

A yard of woven sea grass

And finally: A bright and shiny set of new Mini Seashell Sequin Mix!

Go see the new kit for more info and photos on all 9 kit items (plus related new items, a new sale and a Giveaway are below).

Feeling Beachy: Two Altered Tins for Summer by Design Team Member Shannon Cooper!

Hooray! New artwork and a new kit! I’m going to jump to the second tin mentioned in Shannon’s blog post (and leave the first tin as inspiration for today’s Giveaway)!

Ooh, isn’t this a lovely gift?! Shannon made this beautiful bathing beauties tin as a gift for her mother-in-law (“She and all of her high school girlfriends make an annual trip to a beach and spend a week together, so I thought I’d make her a little gift that represents her friendships and love for the beach.”)

See the wide photo below for the inside of the tin (and a preview of Shannon’s mini tutorial on making the artwork). And on that photo: see the little collage of items on the left side? That’s a vintage shell postcard image from the new Shells & Souvenir Postcards Collage Sheet (also in the kit) plus a Fern Frond and a couple pieces from the new Etched Chipboard Seashell Set (against some of the paper from the Vintage Artistry Shore 6×6 Paper Pad).

Back to the tin cover (at right): I love what Shannon did with mixing up multiple pieces of metal charms & filigree! (She painted them all 1 color then highlighted bits with a white pen: covered in her blog post, too.) That large-ish starfish charm on top is also in the new kit.

Here’s the supply list for just this first tin. And don’t forget to visit Shannon’s blog post for more info and pics!

More New Items!

Even more than the new things above and below so check here to see everything new today (12 items)!

New Sale: Beach Charms!

ALL Beach Charms & Filigree are on sale at least 25% off! Includes the 2 patina charms AND the Tiny Brass Seashell Mix in the kit, too!

The sale ends TUESDAY NIGHT, July 6th at midnight PST.

Psst: anything on clearance is marked down to 50% off including new mark-downs (like the anchor at right)!

30 items! See the sale collection here!

Seashore Kit Giveaway!

There’s that second tin by Shannon! This time with a mermaid theme (and using the cute new Sea Scape Layered Corner — also in the kit!) I’m running out of space so you can read more about the tin on Shannon’s blog post (and here’s the mermaid tin supply list).

So, I’m starting this prize package with the new Seashore Kit — that’s 9 items already!

AND: I’m also adding a few more things from Shannon’s tin:
New Sea Grass Chipboard Set (waving around behind the mermaid, and shown above in the “new” section)
Vintage Mermaids Collage Sheet (there’s a photo below, too)
New 5-piece Coral Set (there’s also a photo below)
Patina Scallop Shell Charms (tied with a ribbon onto a wooden spool wrapped with the new woven sea grass (the sea grass is already in the kit; but I’m also including the spool)

To enter the Seashore Kit Giveaway drawing all you have to do is leave a comment BELOW on this blog post TODAY or TOMORROW (the deadline is 11:59 pm PST, MONDAY Night, July 5, 2021).

And tell me: what will you make with these supplies?

Don’t forget to leave your (hello!) correct email address, too, so I can contact the winner; your email address does not need to be made public. Note: I’m offering free shipping, too, but only within the USA. International shipping will still apply.
