Lots of Miniatures plus Artwork by Shannon Cooper!

Filed under Art Projects, Back in Stock, Christmas, Fairy Garden, Miniatures, Shannon Cooper

Are you all safe and warm (and hiding inside)? I’m revisiting a couple miniature projects today (both by the fabulous Shannon Cooper): one with a Christmas theme, and the other related to a new rustic metal tub (and that artwork is all Spring-y so perfect for daydreaming of a warmer day in the garden).

Oh, before we look at eye candy (and some lovely new minis): let’s mention the overworked folks at the post office. I’m getting contradictory messages from them about cut-off dates for packages to be received by Christmas. So… plan accordingly. If you REALLY need some supplies (to finish/mail some projects for receipt by Christmas), do it now!

But I’m also guessing in this LONG 2020 that time is squishy (for you, too) and that having supplies to keep you busy during late December will be much appreciated.

Final note: there is amazingly large pile o’ packages stacked up here and ready to go out on Monday! So don’t fret if you don’t yet have a tracking number from a recent order. Thanks!

Santa’s Matchbox Cottage by Shannon Cooper

Oh my… this is so fun! I’m going to start you off slowly… see that lovely set of wrapped matchboxes at left? One opens to show a tiny Santa-themed house-shaped book inside…. the bottom one seems to contain a bunch of tiny (1/4 scale) furniture and props… hm…

Oh! That house-shaped book (made from 2 of the Tiny Houses Accordion Books put together — and thankfully Shannon provides step-by-step instructions!)… well, it opens up to become a teeny, tiny 4-room miniature house!! The tiny flooring and rugs from the China Cabinet House Accessories Collage Sheet are perfect for this scale.

Eek! So very tiny! Don’t ask me how Shannon made the tiny (fuzzy) stockings hanging on that mantel (or the upholstery on that tiny chair) but so glad she did! Shannon used 1/4 scale furniture from a couple sets to fill her little rooms. And that Tiny Ceramic Gingerbread House Bead on the table at left is just perfect!

For more photos and tutorial please visit Shannon’s blog post. And here is her supply list. Note: as this project is a coupla years old, here’s some newer things with tiny prints that could be used: Tiny Alice Wallpaper Prints Collage Sheet, China Cabinet House Wallpapers Collage Sheet and Christmas Pets 6×6 Paper Pad. Other than the wallpaper prints, everything else in that supply list is still in stock!

What’s new today?

As I mentioned, the new Rustic Metal Tub is quite similar to a tub Shannon used in her Spring Escape Garden (the tub is in the far right of the preview at right).

All 3 of those new items below are too cute!

Back in Stock Miniatures

Aw… those popular tiny jars at left: they have been hard to come by but are back now!

Plus the Set of Clear Candy Bowls (in the center of row below): they’re also filled with Polymer Clay Cakes Slice Mix and Polymer Clay Halloween Slice Mix in the photo at right (perfect for a bowl of treats in a tiny scene).

See all of today’s new AND back in stock items here.
