New Spring Farmhouse Kit

Aw… how cute is that? A chipboard kit to put together a 3D little box with a house-shaped front (the front of box is 3-1/2″ wide x 4-1/4″ tall).

Note: the house has little holes on the sides so you could add a handle for it to become a basket (Easter basket? basket of flowers? basket of ATCs? who knows…) but you can just paper over the holes, too.

Plus you get a door and 2 windows (a subset of the Mini House Doors & Windows). See the artwork below for a couple ideas on how you can use them (the windows on the side? a door and windows on the front?).

The kit also comes with TWO collage sheets:
New Easter Pussy Willow ATCs Collage Sheet (I adore these vintage postcards! Subtle colors in this group, with chicks, eggs and a bunny… most including some pussy willows. Sized for ATCs (2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″) but useful for other projects, too.)
Eggs and Easter Collage Sheet

AND one each of all 6 doubled-sided designs from the Spring Farmhouse 8×8 Paper Pad.

Go see the new kit for more info and more photos.

A Little Topiary House by Lora Mahaffey!

Design Team Member Lora Mahaffey has made the sweetest little house (and topiary tree!) using the papers & house from the new kit! Note: Lora used windows & doors from the full set of Mini House Doors & Windows (not the subset of 3 that are included in the kit). I love the little white zig zag Dresden trim she added over the curved door and windows!

From Lora’s blog post:

Here is a fun, fast and pretty project that let me get a little of the ‘I-wish-it-was-spring-already!!’ out of my system.

I love this little Mini House Front Box. It’s so versatile and just the right size…about 4×4.5 and you can put stuff in it. So it’s practical, right? And it’s cute as a button.

I decided to put a topiary in mine. I had thought of making this a giraffe house just because a giraffe neck and head sticking out of a house is kind of cute, but the topiary won. Mainly because there’s no poo to clean up. Kidding.

Beside these highlights, here’s the full supply list! And be sure to visit Lora’s blog for more photos and a mini tutorial! (And check the Giveaway section below for a second art project!)

Spring Farmhouse Kit Giveaway!

And that promised second art project: A Checkered Easter Basket by Design Team Member Kristin Batsel!

How’s that for contrast!? I love it when the Design Team make different kinds of projects with the same materials.

In addition to the FIVE items already in the new kit (that includes scrapbook papers Kristin used to cover her house, and the house itself!), this Giveaway includes these extras from Kristin’s supply list:
3/4 Inch Rabbits – Mixed Set
Small Felt Flowers – Multicolor
Thin Looped Dresden Borders – Red

(Make sure to visit Kristin’s blog post, too… she has tips on covering the box — and there are some alternate items shown in her house/basket that will make you smile!)

To enter the Spring Farmhouse Kit Giveaway drawing all you have to do is leave a comment BELOW on this blog post TODAY or TOMORROW (the deadline is 11:59 pm PST, Monday Night, March 4, 2019).

And what are you going to make with your House Box?

Don’t forget to leave your (hello!) correct email address, too, so I can contact the winner; your email address does not need to be made public. Note: I’m offering free shipping, too, but only within the USA. International shipping will still apply.

Please be patient! Spammers try to post crap here a lot so comments are moderated. So if you don’t see your post in the comments section, be patient and check back in a few hours before re-posting it, please!

After midnight, I’ll randomly pick the winner (via Random.org).

Hey, who won the On Cuban Time Giveaway from Thursday’s newsletter? That would be Bonnie Moran! Congrats! Check your email for info.
