A Paris Street Painter and a French Images SALE!

Filed under Art Projects, Back in Stock, Collage Sheets, Giveaways, Laura Carson, Sale, Streets of Paris

Wow! Can you believe we’re at “episode” TEN of Design Team Member Laura Carson’s The Streets of Paris series?

Note: You can easily look back at the previous posts in this series; the last one was the upstairs Librairie Ancienne & Moderne — Old & Modern Bookstore, shown at left.

I think there may just be one (two?) more posts in this series (I know… so sad to see the series ending).

But let’s focus on the new project:
A Paris Street Painter.

I love what Laura has made from the new Small Peddlers Cart! This new version is 5″ long (including the handle portion), 5-3/4″ tall, and 2″ deep (without counting the wheel axles).

Here’s a bit of text from Laura’s blog post as an introduction:
On the sidewalk outside of the shops, you’ll find a street artist painting scenes of Paris. The red awning over the peddler’s cart says “Paintings for Sale”. Underneath is a crate full of paintings, a cashbox, and an artist palette.

There are even more paintings hanging on the outside of the cart plus another crate of paintings sitting on the sidewalk.

Next to the cart is a chair with an attached umbrella to keep away the sun while she paints. In addition, there is an easel with two finished paintings and a paint set. I’m guessing she is over at Cafe du Noir for lunch.

Laura created a new collage sheet today (with tons of impressionist paintings of Paris).

Psst… Laura is giving away a bunch of freebies on her blog post, too, like that red awning, umbrella, and money! (hmm… free money)

See everything Laura used in her supply list. Come back after enjoying her new video tutorial (and lots more info & photos) for new items, a new French-themed sale, and a Giveaway drawn from Laura’s supply list!

What a fun kit. The chair listed in the supplies brings back memories of sitting in a café in France and having the chair leg break under my husband…he tumbled to the side into the street. Those at the next table jumped to see if he was okay, but the waiter looked at him like he was going to bill us for breaking his chair! Luckily, it was an old, weathered chair and there were no injuries.
