Many, varied Alice in Wonderland, Tea (and Chocolate) and Cards/King (and Queen) of Hearts items have been added this week:
- Alice's Adventures Rubber Stamp Sheet.
A giant sheet with lots of stamps including some wonderful silhouettes. Includes the King and Queen of Hearts, the Caterpillar, a flamingo border, the Chessire Cat, Humpty Dumpty, the Frog- and Fish-Footmen, 2 versions of the White Rabbit and a couple different illustrator's versions of Alice.
- An Alice in Wonderland Book. (See top of photo strip at far left.)
A small (6" wide) reproduction of an antique by Raphael Tuck. 16 pages on heavy glossy-printed cardstock.
- Wired Taffeta Chocolate Ribbon. (See bottom of photo strip at far left.)
The printing (teaspoons, text and flourishes) are printed in a metallic gold ink. The edges are wired (but can be easily removed if you like). Perfect for an Alice in Wonderland Tea Party project.
- Reversible Burgundy Wired Heart Ribbon.
Heavy, double-faced satin. Nice checkerboard effect on the rolled edge. The edges are wired (but can be easily removed).
- Die-Cut, Adhesive-Backed Chipboard Card Suits. (See left side of photo strip, above left.)
Heavy chipboard printing with card suits. They're adhesive-backed, too (the white heart I'm holding is the wax liner sheet). 14-1/2" tall.
- Card Suit Eyelets.
1/8" short eyelets. Approx. 50 per bag. The (new) 1/8" setter will work with these eyelets.
- Die-Cut Teapot Greeting Card.
5" wide (when closed). Foil stamped. I think both "halves" of this die-cut card could be used a leaves in a teapot book.
- Queen Shield Rubber Stamp.
(See top right of photo strip, above left.) Not really Alice, but a lovely Art Nouveau Queen of Hearts surrounded by roses.
A Few Halloween Goodies
- Halloween Postcard Book.
Reproductions of gorgeous postcards from the last century. 30 large postcards (perfed for easily tearing out of the book). Postcards are 4-3/4" x 6-1/2". The backs are printed with a vintage "Postcard" graphic (with the normal space for writing notes and address).
- Spider Bead.
Gold-plated cast pewter. 1/2" wide. Vertical hole for threading.
- Pewter Bats.
3/4" wide. Lead-free pewter.
A Couple Christmas Goodies
- Santa's Travels Collage Sheet. The images have a faded appearance and are light enough to easily take antiquing or glazing.
Some Miscellaneous Supplies
- Micro Marbles. In 3 color (red shown at left). Similar to glitter.
- Paper Doll Greeting Card. A greeting card (blank inside) with paper dolls on the front and back to cut out. The clown costume on the back is especially cute. Illustrated by Grace G. Drayton (who did the Campbell Soup Kids and the Dolly Dingle series).
New "Humor" Rubber Stamp Page
- Four stamps by Ken Brown including the adorable Happy Cake stamp shown at right.
- Turnip Family Postcard. A color postcard version of the same odd Root Family shown in one of the Ken Brown stamps.
A thick, perfect-bound magazine (more like book weight) with projects and techniques you'll want to hold onto for years. Includes articles on encaustic (embedding objects in wax), etching brass key tags and paper mache.
Brass Key Tags meant for tagging keys are an easy starter shape for etching your own tags / pendants / charms. Choice of 2 sizes (you'll get three of the small, 1" tags or one of the larger/heavier, 1-3/8" tags). Both sizes are pre-drilled with a hole. There's an article in Somerset Workshop Magazine about etching key tags.
