January 2014 Kit - Romantic Women - SOLD OUT  $0.00  $0.00

Fear not! Even though this item is now sold out, there are still links to related items on this page. (Plus lots of eye candy from the Design Team!)

Hey, it’s Day 4 of the While the Cat's Away Giveaways! And since it's pretty nearly the first of the month, we've got a new monthly kit!

If you're reading this on December 29th, scoot over to the blog and see what's on offer as part of the Post-Christmas Sale and a Giveaway that includes this kit! (Hey, there are extra goodies that would be fun trims for this kit (and a ton more related papers from The Avenues collection!) regardless of catching the sale, so I'd recommended checking out the blog post anyway.)

The "Romantic Women" kit includes a new, exclusive Chipboard Torso Die-Cuts (actually, 2 of them) and 2 colorful, new coordinating collage sheets designed to fit the torsos. Plus 3 nice, big, full-size (and beautiful!) scrapbook papers and a little packet of ribbons/fibers.

While I'm explaining what's in the kit, most everything in this month's kit is also available to buy separately (until sold out).

Regarding the chipboard torso shape: I poured over tons of my costume history books and designed a 3/4 view shape that will fit fashion silhouettes from about 1820-1915.

Note: this is the Valentine's Day kit (though not pink!). Based on a survey of those who use the kits for swaps, i'm pushing the seasonal themes ahead a month for 2014.

 January 25th Update:
The swap due date has been
 extended to February 14th!

I will be leaving the skirt (if you make a full figure from the chipboard torsos) up to you. It could be made of paper or of fabric or who knows what. Check out the lovely artwork on this page (or more in the Gallery) to see some samples with and without skirt added.

Pricing Options
All options are postage-paid! USA only.
(That's postage to get the kit to you — not return postage if you're participating in the swap.)

Kits are announced the first weekend of each month. However, if you sign up for a subscription, your kit will probably have already been mailed to you.

If you buy a subscription after the 15th of the month, your first kit will be for the following month (so if you subscribe on January 16th, the February kit will be your first kit).

Kits from previous months will be available for purchasing until sold out.

If you are participating in the monthly swap, artwork should be postmarked by the last day of the month (so January 31st for the January swap). Note: You do not have to buy the monthly kit to participate in that month's swap (however, the collage sheets & other components are sold at a discount if purchased in the kit).

But you don't need to join the swap to enjoy playing with the goodies in the kit!
