New Forest Papers! Forest Gnomes Pop-Up Book!

Filed under Art Projects, Back in Stock, Giveaways, Nursery Rhymes, Sale, Shannon Cooper

I LOVE these new Forest Paper Pads! Yes, that’s plural, as there are TWO sizes! Everything from woodland creatures to fish & fruit/florals. 1 sheet each of 10 double-sided designs (each sheet is a different design). Plus the back sides of the front & back covers are 2 more designs!

Forest Gnomes Pop-Up Book by Design Team Member Shannon Cooper

Forest Collection… meet Forest Gnomes! No, Shannon didn’t know I would be receiving my order of Forest Paper Pads this week, so her Forest Gnomes Pop-Up Book is a happy accident! And is such a delightful little project! Here’s a bit from Shannon’s blog post to start:

When I first saw these Etched Wooden Arched Fairy Doors from Alpha Stamps, I thought about using them as book covers and attaching pages inside to make a little book of fairy recipes. But then I saw all of the new gnome themed collage sheets, like the Happy New Year and Gnome Home sheets, and immediately changed my mind. Gnomes! Yay!

The pages inside were made using a Matchbox Ticket Journal. I distressed the front and back of the ticket journal and the backs of the fairy doors with brown inks for a uniform color.

On each of the pages is a rectangle of rice paper that was also aged, and I used various stamps on the pages using the same brown ink. Most of the pages also have a simple pop up image on them, made the same way as the ones in the Pop Up Alice in a Matchbox Book.

So clever! And thanks for the reminder of that sweet Alice book, too! See Shannon’s full supply list here and read more (and see more photos) on her blog post. (Psst: check out the new SALE below, which was inspired by Shannon’s artwork! AND below that: a chance to win EVERYTHING in Shannon’s supply list!)

What else is New or Back in Stock today?

Those Miniature Eggs might not look like much, but we’ve been awaiting the reorder for months! And whether you need little props for a baking scene, bird’s nest, or Easter basket, it’s so quick and easy to buy them pre-made.
