Summer Sale continues + New Art by Susan Killam

Filed under Art Projects, Christmas, Gift Certificates, Sale, Susan Killam

I know — it’s not even officially summer yet. A little catching up: I may have gone insane Tuesday (105 degrees here in NoCal) so I’ve been having a different sale every day from last Thursday through tomorrow (Monday)!

And there’s a drawing for a gift certificate every day! (Psst.. winners for the first 3 days are below, so read on!)

Here’s the dish:

  • Today’s sale is EVERYTHING tagged Christmas! Wow! This group has grown to over 300 items! You can view everything in that group or view a smaller subset:
paper (single sheets, pads & die-cuts),
    beads and charms,
    collage sheets and digital images
    rubber stamps,
miscellaneous supplies (from glitter to ribbon)
That entire group is on sale through midnight tonight (that’s Sunday, June 16, 2019) at 30% off! Some items won’t be available again after current stock is sold out, so replenish your Christmas stash now.
  • Everyone placing an order of $25 or more today will automatically be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate! Pretty sweet!
  • And check back tomorrow, as there’ll be a different sale! (With a similar gift certificate drawing!) Tomorrow will be the final day of the Summer Sale; Thursday we’ll be back to our normal newsletter schedule (with new items, new art, and a Giveaway).

OK… on to today’s Design Team eye candy!

Time is an Illusion: An Ode to Love by Design Team Member Susan Killam

Wow! I love this project! From adding a metal handle to the flap of the book box to mixing the Time is an Illusion papers with the bee & butterfly theme from the June kit… it’s beautiful!

Here’s a bit from Susan’s blog post:

Hello crafty friends! Today I want to share a project made with the Alpha Stamps June Kit: Butterfly Garden. This is a great kit, chock full of gorgeous papers and fun embellishments. Plus, it comes with the Tall Accordion Letter Folder and an Accordion Book. I’ve gone rogue and set aside the Butterfly Garden papers for later use… No, you *didn’t* just hear echoes of “my precious” off in the distance. I WILL use it eventually!

I’m smitten with many of the papers from Stamperia. This project showcases “Time Is An Illusion”, which comes as a 12×12 pad or as single sheets. One of the great things about Stamperia is they make every page useable — including the cover sheet. There’s very little waste!

To begin, I covered the perforated accordion edges with linen tape, then covered everything with a coat of black paint. The made the accordion very sturdy — good for me since I knew I’d be layering a lot onto the pages.

The kit also comes with 2 collage sheets, and I’ve fussy cut all the butterflies, inked the edges and added antennae with craft wire.

[Note: scroll down to see a photo showing how Susan embellished the butterflies.]

Oooh! We have some gift certificate winners to announce from the first 3 days of the sale! A gift certificate for $50 was chosen at random from the orders over $25 placed on each day; here are the winners:
– Valerie Rajcic
– Kitty Tatman
– Bonnie Hayes

Congrats! Check your email Monday for info.

Now don’t forget: the Christmas Sale ends tonight! And check back tomorrow for a completely new sale! (And 2 more gift certificates will be awarded from orders placed today and tomorrow!) All the info on the new sale theme for Monday will be posted on the home page.
