An Eerie Tale & Potter-ish Trunks by Nichola

Filed under Art Projects, Contests/Winners, Featured Artwork, Giveaways, Newsletters, Nichola Battilana, Rhonda Secrist Thomas

Note: most of the links on this post no longer work, as we moved to a new Web site in 2018. However, you can see the supply list items from Nichola’s project that are still available on the new site.

It is only the third of July and already we are off to a busy, busy start! Just look at these Paper Mache Treasure Chests that Design Team Member Nichola Battilana has turned into something worthy of a trip to Hogwarts called Potter-ish Trunks.

Of course since Nichola made it, you know that it must be filled with mini-magical treasures! I would expect nothing less than bewitching with each trunk covered in the New and On Sale! An Eerie Tale Collection by Graphic 45. This is a gorgeous, somewhat-muted palette of orange, purple, cream, green and black perfect to start thinking about our favorite holiday around here… HALLOWEEN!!! Where’s my witch crown and magic wand because it’s time to get going on Halloween! But first I’ll finish up talking about the junque in Nichola’s trunk…

Anyways inside each trunk, amongst other things you’ll find Pumpkin Pods, a Small Ceramic Horned Owl Bead, a Key, Tiny Glass Bottles, New and On Sale! Tiny Round Bottles and the whole first year of required Hogwarts’ textbooks!

Being the Magic Maven of Fairyland and all the Wee Fey that she is, Nichola has created this New! Little Potions Collage Sheet for Alpha Stamps. This comes with a SLEW of miniature potion labels, mystical scrolls and parchments that you can use with your own magic to fill your own Potter-ish Trunk. Just remember my darlings, It’s LeviOsa, not LevioSA…

Check out the list of items that Nichola used before you magically appear over at the Pixie Hill Blog to check out more pictures of the Potter-ish Trunks.

And scroll down for the details of today’s SECOND Giveaway ’cause a Paper Mache Treasure Chest, Pumpkin Pods, those new Tiny Round Bottles AND Nichola’s new collage sheet are included in the Giveaway! Plus there’s a list of some new items put on Clearance Sale!

Moving on, we have another fabulous Paper Theatre: Marie Antoinette’s Palace by Design Team Member Rhonda Secrist Thomas! How clever is that? Rhonda stacked 6 of the Small Paper Theatre Boxes and created a whole palace of rooms for Marie!

Rhonda took advantage of the digital versions of the collage sheets she used (to print out multiple copies of images and stack them up for lots of depth in her scenes).

See more photos of Rhonda’s Marie Antoinette’s Palace on her blog.

And don’t forget to wander back and see YET ANOTHER paper theatre, plus enter the drawings (yes, 2 prizes)!

Ooh, what’s that? A new, FREE Sea & Shore Gift Kit? Four different scrapbook papers, an Antique Pewter Starfish Charm, and… TWO of SIX brand new, exclusive Mini Beach Collage Sheets (a mix of old and new images… retouched to coordinate with the papers in today’s kit)! I’ll randomly pick 2 of the 6 available mini collage sheets (but everyone will get the scrapbook papers and the charm)!

Another (?!) Paper Theatre by Guest Designer Teri Steele!

An added surprise! There is another theatre by Teri Steele that will make you want to plan a 4th of July picnic with fireworks and hot-air balloons! Read more in the blog

Hey, Teri has been very generous (again): See below for how to win Teri’s Fireworks for the Fourth of July Theatre!

Hooray! A Sea Treasures Giveaway!

In addition to these goodies from Nichola’s Potter-ish Trunks (that’s a link to the supply list):
– Paper Mache Treasure Chest
– Tiny Round Bottles
– Pumpkin Pods
– Little Potions Collage Sheet

AND FOUR of the new items from the Clearance Sale (that’s 80% off!!):
Fresh 6×6 Paper Pad
Admit One (Ticket) Rubber Stamp
Acrobats (S-shaped) Rubber Stamp
Punch with Tambourine Rubber Stamp (psst… appropriate to the current CIRCUS-themed kit, huh?)

AND a new Sea & Shore FREE Gift Kit, I included some random items I thought fit in with the theme:
– one of the Course Sand in Glass Bottles
– a Squat Little Bottle
Tiny Test Tube with Cork
Small Amber Bottles with Corks (Just Put On Sale!)
The Sea Fiber Set (Lower Sale Price!)
Small White Picket Fence (kinda like the fence around Teri’s theatre)

To enter BOTH the Sea Treasures Giveaway and Fireworks for the Fourth of July Theatre Giveaway drawings all you have to do is leave a comment BELOW on this blog post TODAY OR TOMORROW (the deadline is 11:59 pm PST, FRIDAY, July 4, 2014).

Don’t forget to leave your (hello! correct) email address, too, so I can contact the winner; your email address does not need to be made public. Note: I’m offering free shipping, too, but only within the USA. International shipping will still apply.

Please be patient! Spammers try to post crap here a lot so comments are moderated. So if you don’t see your post in the comments section, be patient and check back in a few hours before re-posting it, please!

After midnight, I’ll randomly pick the winner (via Random.org). So make sure to check back to see who won! And check your mailbox on Sunday morning for the next Giveaway and Newsletter!

Hey, who won the Sea & Cirque Giveaway? That would be Lana!

AND, who won the Seashore Theater Giveaway? That would be Jill Ongley!

Both of you, please check your email for my message about getting your mailing address.
