NEW Paper Flowers on Sale (+ Artwork and Giveaway!)

Filed under Art Projects, Flowers, French Corsets Kit, Laura Carson, Lora Mahaffey, Newsletters, Sale, Tutorials

Note: most of the links on this post no longer work, as we moved to a new Web site in 2018. However, you can see the supply list items from Laura’s and Lora’s projects that are still available on the new site.

Good thing that Design Team Member Laura Carson provided a tutorial for her Victorian Corset Shop Altered Alarm Clock — I couldn’t figure out how she got that wonderful raised texture on the side of the Assemblage Alarm Clock. I think I captured just enough in the cropped photos at right so you can see she glued strips of Dresden and Mini Chipboard Scrolls to the sides (before she gessoed, painted and antiqued). Clever.

Plus, Laura made a great little sign for her “corset shop” using the New Village Sign Post Die-Cut Chipboard and an image (one of my favorites) from The Secret Out At Last Collage Sheet — “The secret out at last, why Mrs. Brown has such a perfect figure.”

And then there’s the flowers! Just a portion of the riot of colorful (NEW and ON SALE) flowers that Laura decorated her “shop” with are shown at right. More on the new paper flowers and the ENTIRE paper flower section being on sale is below.

Here is Laura’s supply list and Laura shares more photos and a tutorial on her blog.

And our second Design Team project today, also using the French Corset Kit, is a fabulous and funny little corset book by Lora Mahaffey! Her little book is filled with witty phrases about bad girls, corsets, and the pain of wearing a corset.

Read more (and see lots more pics) on Lora’s blog. And/or keep up with all the corset projects by the Design Team in the Gallery. And here is Lora’s supply list for all of those bright and sure-to-wake-you-up colors.

And speaking of color… what a treat! Bunches of new Mulberry Paper Flowers have arrived this week (handmade and beautiful) and I’ve put the ENTIRE Paper Flowers (and Leaves) Section On Sale!

But before you run off to see Laura’s tutorial, or Lora’s blog post, scroll down to see what’s new and what’s in today’s Giveaway!
