Tunnel Book Love – and Giveaway!

Here at Alpha Stamps we are falling head-over-heels for tunnel books. You may remember How To Make A Tunnel Book by Kira Nichols from last month and today we have Tunnel Book Love from Lora Mahaffey!

The first thing I want to do when I see these gorgeous tunnel books that Lora made is tear off my clothes and jump right into the ocean! However. The rumor is that people have either turned to stone, cried for their mommy or gone stark raving mad when they have seen me without my makeup on so I shudder to think of what would happen if anyone saw me running around stark naked on the beach. So I’ll settle for dressing up in gorgeous clothing from long ago with my parasol on the beach instead just like one of the beach babes on Lora’s book. Once again — I am digressing!
While these tunnel books may appear to be very time consuming and difficult to master — the reality is that they’re very easy to make. Lora shows you how to start out with the 4×4 Die-Cut Chipboard Frame Set, the New! Boardwalk Fashions and Bathing Costumes Collage Sheets, then with a cut here, a snip there and watch out! You have a tunnel book! (Psst! And since the entire Beach Theme section is still on sale — though July 20th — that means all the new beachy goodies in the newsletter are on sale, too!)

What I really love about Lora’s tunnel books are that you could actually make one book but then change out the inner frames to make a completely different book. You could create a neutral background with the New! Beach and Shore Backdrops Collage Sheet then create enough frames from other collage sheets to interchange within the book for a completely new look! For instance, creating images from the New! Children At The Beach Collage Sheet but when you tire of romping children then have frames ready to switch out with using the Mermaids #3 Collage Sheet.

This reminds me of the many times we went to the coast in the summer!!! My husband our two daughters, our Parents and brother’s and sister. It was wonderful. We lost three of our parents in 2011. Thanks for the chance to remember what a beautiful time we shared at the beach.

… I was speechless when I looked at the page. I have been working on beaches since last summer – miniature to large canvas and creating card sets and magnets and jewelry and … I can’t wait to begin work on the new card set – use these images on my bookmark design – create some tunnel books – YES, this IS the COOLEST HOT summer idea and I can’t wait to dive in deep!
