Retro TVs & Trims on Sale; Projects from Valentines to Halloween!

Filed under Altered Tins, Halloween, Kristin Batsel, Retro TV Kit, Rhonda Secrist Thomas, Shannon Cooper, Valentine's Day

THREE designs of the 3D Chipboard Retro TVs are back in stock (times 2 sizes = 6 TVs)! Plus extra mid-century-inspired trims are back, too!

The first of our inspiration photos today is this amazing Saturday Morning – a Mini Mod Delight by Shannon Cooper!

It seems mom is away and dad is having beer and donuts? And the kids are obviously running riot as there are tiny Tiddly Winks pieces (and spilled breakfast cereal) on the floor… More info in the original post and/or more supplies from that project (all included in today’s sale).

25% off the Retro TVs collection, through WEDNESDAY night, February 4th! You’ll see the discount in your cart — no code required! Read on for more info and photos!

More Inspiration

So clever! Kristin Batsel created this Tiny TV (really tiny as that TV is only 2″ wide) that has 2 image options! One is the Western (in black-and-white) and the other (set back as that hot dog is a 3D prop) is an ad that keeps interrupting the movie!

More supplies from Kristin’s project, and the original post.

Below are THREE TVs by Rhonda Secrist: Godzilla, Bewitched And A Western! Ha! I love that Godzilla TV (with tiny people running away)!

This adorable Medium Size Retro TV is so easy to put together! I painted this one with red paint, and then chose a simple patterned paper to give it a little snazzing up.

Nice job, Rhonda! Here’s the supply list (for all 3 TVs) and the original post.

Below is another TV by Kristin: The Halloween Special on BTV (psst: that’s Brownie TV)!

I used a thin strip of sturdy scrapbook paper to make the TV 3d. The Brownie images are attached to the background with foam tape; a mossy ground and some pumpkins were added. To fit the pumpkins in, I cut them in half with a box cutter. If you apply slow gentle pressure, they divide fairly easily. They’re attached with white glue. I made one into a jack o’ lantern using a thin tipped Sharpie.

Clever! (Both making the TV a shallower depth instead of inserting a tin, AND cutting a pumpkin pod in half).

More supplies from her project and the original post.

NEW: Retro TVs on SALE

Here’s that promised Valentine’s Day project: KittyCat TV by Kristin Batsel! (Kristin again! I love all the different themes and sizes of TVs she made.)

This is so cute! Kristin used the Altoids Tin TV (in the Retro style, as there are 2 large size TVs made for using with a tin) plus some cute kittens from vintage Valentines.

More info in the original post and/or see the supply list (a few previews are below, including the updated Polymer Clay Valentine Hearts Slice Mix).

50 items are on sale! Whew! Beside the supplies from all FIVE of the tiny TV artworks above, all of today’s back-in-stock retro trims are included, too. And… BONUS: see the bottom row below for some additional Valentine’s Day embellishments I added to the sale!

There’s a new AUTOMATIC DISCOUNT for an extra 25% off the listed prices: you’ll see the discount in your cart — no code required!

The sale ends WEDNESDAY NIGHT, February 4th at midnight PST.
