The shelves are from an idea that’s been rumbling around for awhile: Designed to sit on top of an Altoids Shelf Insert – 2-1/4 Inch Wide (inside an Altoids Tin) but can be used separately (not in tin) as a tiny bookcase.

Potions Cupboard Altered Tin

I love the creepy, old-and-rusted look of this tiny tin by Shannon!

Starting my tour with the base of the inside of her tin: so clever how Shannon added a simple rectangle of chipboard to make a faux drawer (and the Half-Round Drawer Pulls to complete the look of a drawer).

Proceeding to the bottom shelf: note that Shannon moved both vertical dividers of the new shelf insert to the middle shelf (so she’d have a wide open shelf). There’s a skull with a creepy pearl eyeball, plus a tray with moldy vegetables and a tiny potions bottle with a beetle label (see the wide close-up photos below for a better view). By the way, there’s a new set of pie pans that would fit perfectly on that shelf for that tray (just add some ink to tarnish it gold/green).

Moving up to the middle shelf: there’s the larger version of the potions bottle (with an old crone label), tiny metal cauldron (just clip off the loop or hide it behind some foliage), rolled scrolls, a skull image behind a vitamin E pill on the scalloped plate (inspired!), tiny leaves, and tiny books.

Top shelf: ceramic bat bead on/in an Fancy Bronze Large Bead Cap, an Even Tinier Bottle with toadstool label, slightly larger toadstool label on the back wall, and a raven (hand-colored) from the Halloween Bottle Toppers on a Chubby Bronze Cone Bead Cap (darkened with a Sharpie)!

I’ve almost omitted the mottled yellow paper in the background from the Sepia Trees & Spider Webs Background Papers Set. Great job, Shannon!
