Eat, Drink, and Be Scary: New Halloween Sweets!

Trick or Treat!
Miniature Candy Apples?! And candy corn cupcakes, too? So many sweet treats for a Halloween scene are new and/or highlighted below (and on sale)!

Eat, Drink, and Be Scary! by Shannon Cooper
Starting with some text from Shannon’s blog post:
I’m just going to cut to the chase. The Porch & Courtyard Scene Box from Alpha Stamps is a scream!!! It’s a hefty 11-1/2″ long x 11-1/2″ wide by 13-1/2″ tall kit with a raised porch, steps, and a courtyard! Did I mention the arbor covering the porch?? Wow. I love this thing.
There’s tons of possibilities with the kit, but there was no way I was going to do anything but a Hallowe’en project! It would also be pretty cute decked out with Christmas decorations and lights… oh my, how long until Christmas??!
Speaking of lights, I used a few adorable Tiny Halloween Luminaries and a Mini String of Fairy Lights to illuminate the steps!
The rest of the string of fairy lights are tucked behind the silhouetted images under the porch. I had made similar kinds of window silhouettes many moons ago when we went all out with decorations for the house. The life-sized versions were spooky images cut from black plastic that were glued to white fabric, then hung in the windows. The mini versions in the windows (top floor) are stamped images on vellum. The bottom silhouettes (under the porch) are black cats or skulls that have been taped to a frame made from Heavy Translucent Vellum and strips of wood.
The Tiny Halloween Luminaries are similar designs as the Tiny Halloween Lanterns but have 1 design per paper bag. They’re laser-cut and scored from heavy tan cardstock.
Shannon lined the front cut-out panels with vellum and 2 layers of orange cellophane (see how-to pics on her blog post). She also shows how she punched a hole in the bottom of each luminarie for the fairy lights to poke through (and how she hid the wires under the steps).

Back in Stock Supplies in Shannon’s Project
Let’s start with the Grim Reaper at left! Shannon painted him (standing in the cemetery, to the left of the stairs) and used one of the tiny tombstones as a stand to keep him upright.
Jumping around a bit… the Gable Boxes! Did you recognize one on the skeleton’s lap near the candy table? It’s labelled “Pickled Eyeballs” and has a mix of polymer clay eyeballs & candy inside!
