3D Halloween Mini Card
This “card” (so much more than a flat card!) by Design Team Member Shannon Cooper is so fun! Lots of depth for just a “card”!

Halloween has been on my mind lately, more so than usual, which put me in a mood to make a few spooky things. Nothing wrong with getting a head start on holiday crafting, right?
I had two Arched Triptychs with Overlays (back in stock today) and thought they would make an interesting little card to give to a friend that enjoys Halloween as much as I do. She also loves miniatures, so I glued the overlay from the second arched triptych over the first to create enough depth for a “bookcase” with oodles of dark and creepy things!

Let Us Crown Him Triptych
This next project is using the tiny version of the triptych Shannon used (and it’s such a different project: so rich with color and gold).
Design Team Member Kristin Batsel kind of did the opposite of Shannon’s artwork above: Kristin left off the center shelf overlay (where Shannon doubled up the overlays for more depth by using 2).
Here’s a quick little 3″ tall triptych I put together recently. The image is from one of my favorite collage sheets: Saints and Sinners. So many great images to play with! The triptych is covered with “heavenly” paper, and the edges are painted with a gold metallic paint. The “Let Us Crown Him” caption was cut from an old hymnal. I painted over it a bit to make it blend into the background, and then went over the letters with a fine black pen. Gold stars and a golden halo (back in stock today) complete the heavenly look.

Hallowe’en Party Shrine by Shannon Cooper
Here’s the last of our trio of “Artworks with Archways” (and with TWO more back in stock ceramic beads (that’s actually a link to all 6 back today) and orange tinsel AND a new shelf… all in this project or designed to fit the shrine).
I started by covering an Arched Shrine Shadowbox with scrapbook papers. The table is made from a Set of Wooden Table Legs and a rectangle of basswood. It was stained with watered-down brown acrylic paint and a scrap of fabric was glued on top for the tablecloth.
I was happy to have a 3-Tier Cupcake Stand handy because otherwise I would’ve run out of space pretty quickly! (Actually, there’s still surface area there…darn.) All of the cookies on the stand as well as the black and white checkerboard cookies and bats and ghosts are simply slices of polymer clay canes. The white cakes were made with a Mini Bundt Cake Silicone Mold and a dash of glitter.
