Christmas in Cabinets

Filed under Christmas, Guest Designers, Halloween, Miniatures

Lots of options for cabinets or hutches to decorate for any season (and 2 of these are ready for Christmas)! Guest Designer Connie Littell has made 4 projects today (from 3 different cabinet structures)!

Read on as there’s tons of eye candy, and a new Christmas in Cabinets SALE!

Small Trinket Shelf Stand

The Small Trinket Shelf Stand is a bookcase with a working drawer at the bottom (plus a pretty scalloped edge at both the top and down the sides). Finished size is 7″ tall by 4″ wide by 2-3/8″ deep.

I love the Christmas Cabinet that Connie made (see below)! And see at the far right of that wide photo group: the drawer opens to show boxes of ornaments and tinsel!

I added lots of options for substitute items similar to things Connie used in today’s sale collection (like 1:12 scale 3D Shiny Brite boxes from the Under the Christmas Tree Collage Sheet.) Note that sale collection link is for supplies used in all of Connie’s art projects.

More New Minis!

All of which would fit in one of the cabinet projects shown today!

NEW Display Stand with Shelves

The Display Stand with Shelves is a sturdy counter (no doors) plus a tall back, and 2 shelves that can be arranged as you wish (the same shelves are also sold separately: 1:12 Shelves – Set of 2).

Or omit the shelves entirely, like Connie Littell’s Pumpkin Carving example shown at left. Makes me imagine the stand without shelves as a booth at a carnival.

Finished size is 4″ wide x 7″ tall x 2″ deep.

Yes, it’s true: the Halloween scene at left and the Mini Bath & Body Display below are not Christmas themed! But that just adds some more options to the sale items!

Miniature China Cabinet (omitting the doors)

Our final entry in today’s gallery of Connie’s cleverness is made with the Miniature China Cabinet (yes, omitting the doors).

This cabinet is approx. 5″ wide x 7″ tall when assembled (note: there’s also a half-scale version).

Aside: Teri Calia built a tiny, 1/4″ scale dollhouse INSIDE that same china cabinet (and gave it a white-washed, shabby chic finish). See her The White Rabbit’s Hutch.

Back to Connie’s version: she used 3 of the snowflakes from the Chipboard Snowflake Shape Set, one on each shelf. And added Red Peppermint Candy Polymer Clay Slices in a jar.

Some of the items I am suggesting as substitutes:
Large Ceramic Santa Claus Bead
Set of Mini Children’s Books
Small Wooden Finials (as feet)

Thank you, Connie! Such a beautiful group of varied projects!
