Celestial Care Package by Nichola Battilana!

Filed under Art Projects, Celestial Papers, Collage Sheets, Lucky Star Kit, Nichola Battilana

Wow! Nichola Battilana has made multiple projects, all around the Lucky Star Kit theme and grouped them into a Celestial Care Package!

I know… there’s a lot to take in in that photo. There is the box itself, plus 6 “Moon Maiden” cards, earrings, a brooch, and a paper crown. I’ve picked out a couple pieces to show off in detail below, but you can see more photos in Nichola’s blog post.

Here’s a short bit from that post as a brief intro:

When Alpha Stamps asked me if I’d like to play with some starry goods I immediately said “Yep!” I wanted to make something magic and mystical and toyed with a few ideas but nothing was gelling. Then I thought why just make one thing when I can create an entire package of items! And once I was done it felt like I’d been gifted magical care package directly from the stars.

I started with an inexpensive wooden box and covered it with Lucky Star Scrapbook Papers. The lid has layers of snips from those papers as well as clips from the Mini Alchemy Half Sheet and The Celestial Spheres Collage Sheet. Wonky Stars have been painted gold and copper and layered with brass star charms.

Again: wow! Great job, Nichola! All the colors and images look perfect together. Before I forget (as the next section is diving into that fab paper crown): here’s the supply list for everything!

Ooo… I love this diadem/crown!

The first thing I love is that Nichola rotated the chipboard corner from the Lucky Star Crowning Glory Chipboard Set to make the top of the crown (see the photo of that set under the crown).

After a good dousing with Cobalt Blue Glitter, the base of the crown is trimmed with a Wide Scalloped Dresden Border which is dotted with cabochons from the Celestial Sequin Mix.

Plus there are numerous painted stars from the Wonky Stars all over the crown. And Stardust Iridescent Gold & Purple Sequins plus more sequins from the Celestial Sequin Mix are scattered generously.

I’ll ramble on about the beautiful sun brooch (in the bottom right corner of the photo) down in the Giveaway section (!) but first there’s info on some long-lost minis and a celestial sale!

Ethereal Brooch Giveaway!

Isn’t that brooch beautiful! Here’s bit more from Nichola:

I had toyed with using the Sunburst Bronze Filigree to embellish my box, but it demanded something more. “I want to be seen! I want to stand out!” and so it became the base of this ethereal brooch. I added a pin to the back and 3 brass stamped stars, moon and sun and a smattering of those Stardust Iridescent Gold & Purple Sequins to the front to complete the piece.

So… where to start this list of the Giveaway prize parts?! I’ll begin with the 3 items in the photos below (the base, sun & sequins).

Then the moon, and the 3 brass stars:
Embossed Brass Star Charm
Fancy Brass Star Charm
Small Brass Starburst Charm

Plus a bonus: the new Moon Maidens Collage Sheet (designed by Nichola!) shown in a couple of the cards in the background of this photo.

To enter the Ethereal Brooch Giveaway drawing all you have to do is leave a comment BELOW on this blog post TODAY or TOMORROW (the deadline is 11:59 pm PST, MONDAY Night, April 12, 2021).

And tell me: what will you make with these supplies?

Don’t forget to leave your (hello!) correct email address, too, so I can contact the winner; your email address does not need to be made public. Note: I’m offering free shipping, too, but only within the USA. International shipping will still apply.
