Fall Foliage! New Miniatures & New Markdowns!
Filed under Art Projects, Back in Stock, Fairy Garden, Miniatures, Shannon Cooper
What is new today?
Lots of tiny planters, tiny plants (in shades of yellow and orange) and bare trees… sounds like FALL! AND there’s a related Giveaway (revisiting an Autumn Harvest Buffet by Design Team Member Shannon Cooper)!
So back to the new (and back in stock) items: The (finally) back-in-stock Forest 8×8 Paper Pad is perfect for the Mushroom House Kit announced last Sunday. And the new Ladybug and Mushroom Polymer Clay Slices would be cute as extras for such a gnome’s house. Beside the items highlighted below, see all 14 items!
New Markdowns!
These 3 new clearance items are all about the Autumn Harvest Buffet by Shannon Cooper (shown below). The cute cabinet that Shannon used is no longer available, but these 1:12 scale options would make good choices for a similar scene. AND I just put all 3 of them on clearance! 30% off!
Bonus: Not on clearance, but one of today’s back-in-stock items would also be a good substitute: Wooden Hutch or Buffet.
Autumn Harvest Buffet Giveaway!
As I mentioned, we’re revisiting the Autumn Harvest Buffet by Design Team Member Shannon Cooper: Is that not the sweetest little fall display?! And all those squirrels (and I spy a hidden gnome amonst the mushrooms at bottom left) would be good choices for a Mushroom House, too!
Here’s some background about the artwork from the original newsletter:
Under the buffet hides a hedgehog and a gnome in an acorn cap bowl. There’s also a rustic metal bucket filled with golden apples, a couple pumpkins, and polymer clay squash in a wire basket. The squash were shaped and a hole was poked in the top so after baking I could add a tiny length of toothpick for the stem. They are odd squash but that’s what they look like in my head.
That Shannon is soooo talented! Check out the cornucopia she made (woven from embroidery floss and wire; and also shown in a close-up below). From her blog: Even though it came out a little wonky, I was pleasantly surprised with the results.”
Hm… I see no wonkiness, just a really cute, little cornucopia!
Beautiful work, Shannon! You can see learn more and see more photos (and a tutorial on making tiny flowers, too!) in Shannon’s blog post. Plus here’s her supply list.
AND EVERYTHING in that list is included in today’s Giveaway drawing! Even though some items have sold out since the original post, there’s still TWELVE items! See them all here.
