Before showing off a beautiful Fairyland Tin by Miz Bella (Kimberly Ayers), I want to show off the new paper she used: Imagine 8×8 Paper Pad!
Wow… this has lovely colors and layered collage images. It works really well as backgrounds on tiny projects, too. And you may recognize bits of these 2 sample sheets as backgrounds in Bella’s artwork below. (The pad actually has 10 different double-sided designs.)
Fairyland Tin by Bella Ayers!
Here’s some of the intro text from Bella’s blog post:
This month’s kit at Alpha Stamps is the Secret Garden. How can you have a secret garden without fairies roaming around in it? (A miniature secret garden, of course!)
Although there are four 6×6 cuts from the Spring Bloom Scrapbook Paper Set included in the kit, the inside and outside of the tin is covered with paper from the new Stamperia Imagine 8×8 Paper Pad.
I did use the papers from the kit… more on that below.
There are 3 Altoids Inserts that were announced with the May kit: One of them is included in the kit (the Ivy Corner Insert), but I also used the Gazebo and Gothic Tree & Fence Inserts with this project.
I also used lots of the Mini Green Leaves laser-cut leaf set (with ferns, ivy, and some swirly flourishes, which I added glittery Stickles to).
Since it is Fairyland I didn’t want the tree branches on the Gothic Tree Fence Insert to be left bare, so I used the Set of Garden Leaves Mini Punch. If you choose to do this, make sure to have tweezers (I didn’t) and be prepared to say “merde!” a lot if you don’t have any. Not going to lie, it was a pain in the butt but I like the way it turned out. I punched the leaves from the Spring Bloom Scrapbook Paper Set and used a felt brush pen to try and outline each leaf after they were glued down.
[Note: There’s a photo of the tin’s cover down in the Giveaway section. And see the left side of the wide photo directly below? I decided to include that “work in progress” photo to show the pretty background paper from the new Imagine 8×8 Paper Pad. (I love that Moroccan pattern on the paper in the far left… kinda matches the stencil from the April kit.) There’s a close-up on the right side of same wide photo with the “after” view.]
Beautiful work, Bella! Here’s the supply list and Bella’s blog post. You can enter the drawing for some of Bella’s supplies in the Giveaway section below! (But don’t miss the new goodies between here and there!)
What is new today?
New or back in stock (those Miniature Wooden Crates are back and have been updated: Same size stained wooden crates but now without labels). Psst: those new wizard beads might be lurking in your own fairyland tin…
Fairyland in a Tin Giveaway!
Sweet! There’s a couple angles of the cover of Bella’s tin! I love the busy little leaves across the top (made from using a paper punch on patterned scrapbook paper).
I’m going to let the cover guide what I put in today’s Giveaway:
– Imagine 8×8 Paper Pad New! (Mainly shows on the far right side in these photos.)
– Set of Garden Leaves Mini Punch
– Spring Bloom Scrapbook Paper Set
– Fairy Ballerinas Collage Sheet
– Mini Green Leaves (swooping around the bottom of the fence and also on the inside of the tin)
– Gothic Tree & Fence Insert
– Signage & Doors for Tin Covers Collage Sheet (that door behind the fairy — and the “Fairyland” sign on the inside)
– a blank tin!
Just click on this Supply List link for photos and links to everything in Bella’s artwork, but “just” those 8 listed above are included in the Giveaway.
