New Coins, Coasters & Holders Kit
Have you played with “Artist Trading Coins”? They’re similar to ATCs (Artist Trading Cards), but are round and 2.5″ diameter (instead of 2.5″ x 3.5″ for an ATC). Hint: as the diameter of a Coin matches the width of an ATC, all the collage sheets designed for ATCs can be used as an image on a Coin (which is why they’re all on sale)!
In addition to a sample Art Coin in this kit, I also had “Trading Coasters” cut (rounded-corner 2.5″ squares) as an alternative to the Art Coins…. i just thought having a bit more surface to decorate would be useful. A Coaster is included in the kit, too (and the super-thick chipboard for both shapes is just begging for some embellishing).
I designed a big bunch of “holders” (pockets/wallets/folders) that fit the Coins or Coasters (and a sampler set of 3 is included in this kit — and there are even a couple more new ones (beyond the 3 in the kit), AND larger holders sized for 4″ Coasters). Whew!
Oh, how can I forget: COLOR!
– I designed a new Art Coin Starters Collage Sheet with all kinds of images, sized for Art Coins. Plus a few extra bits in related themes (birds and seashells).
AND
– Paper from the Ordre du Jour 8×8 Paper Pack (The prints include antiqued vintage paper sample books… they’d be good as wallpapers in small shadowboxes as well as collages.)
Go see the new kit for more info and more photos.
Mushroom Hunt by Rhonda Thomas!
Design Team Member Rhonda Thomas has made bunches of Coins & Coasters & pockety-things (with her current mushroom obsession) called Mushroom Hunt!
From Rhonda’s blog post:
I am obsessed with layers of ephemera, vintage smalls and mushrooms. I have been searching for all of the mushroom papers, washi tape and images I can find to create a junk journal and some other projects. With this little project I was able to combine all of my current obsessions. Some of the newest items from the Alpha Stamps May Kit, Coins, Coasters & Holders, made for some great time in the studio.
The beautiful Mushroom Dresden Scraps was a huge inspiration for me, as well as the English Fairy Garden Collage Sheet. The Artist Trading Coins and Trading Coasters were screaming to be gifted with some of these gorgeous images.
I wanted to add a vintage small to each of my items. A pen nib, glass watch face, frozen Charlotte, metal tag and a recent find, a french tin plant label, were my selections…

More interesting things!
Art coins are really fun to make. The trading coasters look fun, too. When made for a holiday or such, put a pin back to wear – I made some St. Patrick’s ones for friends. You can also put magnets on the back for instant fridge décor. 🙂
I’ve traded ATC and Postcards before. Trading coins is a new one to me. Sounds like fun.
love all the cute little envelopes/holders to put the art coins, trading coasters, etc. into.
Beautiful Shrooms! Really like the colors.
My-O-My!!!! I’ve been waiting for a little wallet to put all my happy notes to grandbabies in. And NOW coins too! Wonderful

I love the coin pockets I would play with those and make different designs on them
Wha a fun idea!
I have never seen these before. They give me so many good ideas!
These are so neat! I’ve been hearing about artist coins and I love the artist coaster idea. I’m going to have to make a bunch of these.
I love artist trading anything! LOL I will of course make some trading coins and matching envelopes!
Love the Ordre du jour paper set! I think I’d do both sides of the coaster, one with a nature theme and the other using the drawers from the set. I like the new folders and envelopes too.
Looks like fun!
I’m going to make some coins. I like Rhonda’s idea of mushrooms.
I love the idea of the trading coins and, with a waterproof coating, a set of the coasters could be great stocking stuffers at Christmas
Love all these treasures! They would make great ATC’s!!
So excited to see my friend, Jean Marmo, won the last giveaway! Congratulations my friend!
Loving the Land of the Butterfly Queen Collage sheet! The trading coins and coasters are awesome! I would definitely be making lots of these with the Butterfly Queen images and fairy images I have in my stash! So fun and unique! I might have to do some unicorn and mermaid coins and coasters too! Maybe even a sea-unicorn for the mermaids to ride!
Thanks for the chance to win such amazing goodies!
🤞💫🤞💫🦄💫🤞💫🤞
Love the coins!
Fun… Fun… Fun… D.A.A.S. Stinkin… nifty idea… can that also be mailed like a card or could one be designed to be mailed like a card?
I love anything with butterflies! Thank you for the great ideas.
These should be fun to work with.
The mushrooms are so cute.
I’m super psyched about this new collection. Innovative and on target for Springtime. Great Job!
I understand the obsession with mushrooms! Adorable things hide under or behind them, such as fairies. Have never made an atc or a coin, would be such fun to try!
I have never made an an artist trading coin before. Looks like fun! Love the holder for them! And mushrooms!!!….Love!
I would have to make something relating to the garden!
I love the butterfly queen collage sheets! I have seen the ATC coins but hadn’t found a place to purchase them. Yay!! Wonderful giveaway and I would definitely make some round mushroom ATCs. I am also a mushroom hunter lol! The Dresden sheet is beautiful.
I love making ATCoins! And the holders are an awesome idea!
Love making coasters.
Really like working small–and then creating displays of the small items. These look so tempting!
Mushrooms and butterflies–some of my favorite things! I’m not sure what I would make, but some of it will go into stationary, and the other will go into future book displays.
