Sale Day 5: New Kit! New Artwork x2! Plus ATC Sale!

Holiday Closure & After-Christmas Sale
It’s day FIVE of this week of While the Cat’s Away Sales & Giveaways! It’s the final day of my flurry of daily newsletters, but today’s new sale extends through tomorrow night (new year’s eve)! And the scrapbook paper sale (and the shipping sale) both run through Tuesday night (January 1st).
And what a treat today! Not only is this the announcement of the January kit, but we have lovely artwork from TWO Design Team Members! Let’s start by looking at the new kit…
New Victorian Ephemera Kit!
Oh, this is such a pretty kit!
In addition to the 3 lovely papers from the Scrap Studio Collection, there is a new collage sheet (designed to match the palette of those papers and also designed to fit the new Arched Tent Card Frame — also include in this kit). Beside 3 options for frames, the collage sheet includes some extra roses, butterflies and text to embellish your frame.
And there is an exclusive set of Dresden trims, only available in this kit (4 strips in a chocolate brown that looks so perfectly vintage)!
(There are 3 more new tent card designs! The 4 Tent Card Frames use similar cabinet-card-esque window shapes as those used in the December 2018 kit (and related shadowbox lids), but the windows have been resized to be used as ATC frames (on tent cards that can fold closed for mailing or storing). The windows are about 1/8″ smaller than an ATC on each side (an ATC is 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″).)
Go see the new kit for more info and more photos. And see below for beautiful projects using the new kit!
New Artwork #1: Oh How I Love Vintage Ephemera by Rhonda Thomas!
Aren’t these lovely! Design Team Member Rhonda Thomas made 3 tent cards she’s calling Oh How I Love Vintage Ephemera. (And see below for another wide photo, showing the outside of the cards, which are just as pretty.)
From Rhonda’s blog post:
I am obsessed with vintage ephemera. I hoard it like it is the priceless piece of beauty that it is. And I could never, ever have enough. So when I saw this new “Scrap Studio” collection of papers, I was instantly inspired to create.
These papers are just so beautifully detailed, looking gorgeous and layered. It hardly took any work at all to make these tent cards, and I didn’t even have to sacrifice any of my own vintage ephemera.
Beside these highlights, here’s the full supply list! And be sure to visit Rhonda’s blog for more photos!

See below for highlights of the sale section — and all of those included in today’s Giveaway! This is a fun section (with images from Halloween to Christmas to florals to romantic photos) — and a big section, too: over 60 options! The collage sheet sale ends at midnight, December 31st, 2018.
(Speaking of Giveaways, we have the winner to announce from yesterday’s Tiny Envelopes for Valentine’s Day Giveaway. The winner is Mary DePew! Check your email for info about your prize package!)

Hooray for the Victorian Ephemera Kit Giveaway!
AND… Art project #2, by Design Team Member Shannon Cooper: A Wee Mailbox with Mini Envelope Tutorial!
First, if you didn’t see Shannon’s project yesterday (using the same mini envelope theme but in a riot of pink & red Valentines, do take a look)! Both yesterday and today’s projects from Shannon use the new Mini Envelope Punch.
See the little image at left for just how tiny these adorable envelopes are!
Here’s a bit from Shannon’s blog post, then I’ll explain what’s in the Giveaway prize (yes, and they really are related to today’s kit!):
Yesterday I shared a Valentine House full of all the red and pink things, tiny animals, mushrooms, and most importantly, tiny envelopes. The envelopes were made from a paper punch, and I have since nearly eliminated my stash of paper scraps by punching out the 1″ x 3/4″ envelopes. So instead of a pile of paper bits, I have a giant stack of itty bitty mail!
I decided to make a wee mailbox from sticks and whatnot for a few of the envelopes. The upper part is cardboard that I glued together, painted, then covered in thin strips of birch. It was hot glued to a stick that was then glued to a wooden disk. The rest is moss, miniature rose vines, and that’s about it.
Ah… “that’s about it”… that Shannon is a talented girl. Note: There is a full tutorial with lots of pics (for making the envelopes — and for making the mailbox) that is on her post but that I’m omitting here.
Also, here’s a link to Shannon’s supply list, which is quite useful for things like tiny postage stamps (also shown at left), and the new Carte Postale Cling Stamp Set that she stamped on quite a few of the envelopes and inserts (like the “just create” phrase shown at right).
So on to this Giveaway: Beside ALL four of the collage sheets in that highlight row above, I’m also including the new kit! Note that a bunch of those envelopes shown above use the scrapbook papers included in the kit. Also note: if you go shopping today or tomorrow, those new papers are on sale as part of the scrapbook paper sale!
Reminder: Here’s how these While the Cat’s Away DAILY Sales and Giveaways work: I’ve gathered items around a theme and put together a Giveaway Kit that will be awarded to one lucky person.
To enter the Victorian Ephemera Kit Giveaway drawing all you have to do is leave a comment BELOW on this blog post TODAY or TOMORROW (the deadline is 11:59 pm PST, December 31, 2018).
Don’t forget to leave your (hello!) correct email address, too, so I can contact the winner; your email address does not need to be made public. Note: I’m offering free shipping, too, but only within the USA. International shipping will still apply.
Please be patient! Spammers try to post crap here a lot so comments are moderated. So if you don’t see your post in the comments section, be patient and check back in a few hours before re-posting it, please!
After midnight I’ll randomly pick the previous day’s winner. So make sure to check back Thursday to see who won!
