12 Days of Christmas Matchbox Ornaments!

It feels too soon to be Thanksgiving week (yes, I know Nichola is rolling her eyes as Thanksgiving was weeks ago in Canada). But, yes, it is this week here (and I have already bought the extra cream and eggs for making pies). There’s won’t be a newsletter on Thursday, but there will be one on Friday (and new Christmas-y art also on Saturday and Sunday). But if you are feeling all fat and sassy after your Thanksgiving feast, there may be some early treats posted by late Wednesday night (hint: there’ll be a note on the home page).
Speaking of treats, Laura Carson is back today with a follow-up set of matchbox ornaments to her Advent Calendar set AND a video tutorial that covers both sets!

So sweet! And 12 ornaments seem a bit more manageable (though I think after you try 12, 25 won’t seem so daunting).
Laura’s new Mini 12 Days of Christmas Collage Sheet (shown at right) give you pretty much everything you’ll need for decorating the body of the 12 ornaments. You’ll need the matchboxes, of course, and some background paper (Laura used papers from the Yuletide Carol Scrapbook Paper Set (note: there are 6 sheets in that set, so a lot of options) and the sheet music designs on the back side of the new Christmas Melody Scrapbook Paper). And the tassels and new Round 12 Days of Christmas Number Charms Set hanging from the bottom look great!

Sorry, folks…I hit the wrong button before finishing- anyways, Laura’s ornaments last year were the FIRST project I ever did, using supplies from alphastamps, etc. and it was so much fun, and truly addicting! I am going to have to see about doing this set as well- I love them! Take care, and have a lovely Thanksgiving Day coming up!
