Hooray for More Early Halloween!

Squeee! Another chance to bring out Halloween early! Beside the fabulous artwork today (by Design Team Member Kristin Batsel) there are also new chipboard bat and spider web borders, and miniature tinsel/fluff in Halloween colors!
Kristin turned the Mini Conservatory Accordion Book into a set of Halloween Row Houses, with their own Halloween matchbox to package them in. Look how cool:

I know Halloween is quite a ways off, but it’s one of my favorite themes to craft for, so when I got the current Alpha Stamps kit and it contained a row of funny little houses, I knew what had to be done.
The houses are quite small, and just so happen to fit in a 3″ by 4″ matchbox, which I also gave a Halloween look. I painted the outer sleeve black and added scrapbook paper and collage sheet images. The black border around the cat is printed on a clear sticker. I left the ends of the inner box plain, to resemble an actual matchbox.

Hooray for the Halloween Row Houses Giveaway!
I think Kristin gathered images from about 20 Halloween collage sheets for her miniature project (ok, I just counted and it’s actually 9 — but that’s a lot for a little book that’s only 4″ tall)!

Gotta love the “bee” girl. But I think that my favorite is the last panel. It looks to me like a cabin in the woods, possibly haunted. With bats and pumpkins all about.

Isn’t vintage Halloween the best? I really love the box, but my favorite is the last page with the bat and jack o lanterns. I have already started my Halloween crafting, and I can always find inspiration at Alpha Stamps!

I was just thinking the other day if it was a bit too soon to start my Halloween projects, I do primitive crafts. And, voila! Here it is in my inbox!! I’m always finding something new and creepy in your Halloween projects, but the panel with the pumpkin head child, stealing away with the black cat….oooh, that’s really spooky!!! Cabinet of Dr. Caligari? Wow, gonna have to check that one out!!!

I love the box-being a cat person I was immediately drawn to the box and fell in love. The whole thing is cute but love the halloween cat on the box. I am now buying what I don’t already have and making my own. >^..^<

What a fun neighborhood! Kristen always has a way of designing color and pattern to make a really amazing and pleasing project. I love all the details and the ways the colors and shapes complement each other. Fitting it in that cute custom box is the frosting on the cake. As to picking a fave panel, it would have to be that cheery Moonman.
