New Cabinet with Witty Artwork and TWO Garden Albums!

Inspired by the new Arch Top Cabinet with Doors, Design Team Member Kristin Batsel has come up with the adorable Margaret Hogs the Stage.
“How cute is Margaret? Margaret comes from the Little Darlings Collage Sheet and is colored in Copic markers before adding ribbons to all the waistlines. Blue Tulle has also been added to Margaret’s dress.
The header for the cabinet is from the new 4 Inch Shrine Facades Collage Sheet and it flows perfect with the overall palette. The cabinet looks so whimsical with the doors closed, but really comes to life when the doors are opened! I put new Narrow Window panes on the inside of the door, because I’ll most likely leave these doors open, but they’d look great on the outside, too. Perfect fit!
I really like the way the stark black and white striped paper contrasts with the soft pastels.(By the way, I mitered the corners on the insides of the doors for a fun look.)”

Design Team Member Tristan Robin Blakeman has been inspired by The Garden Kit to create two lovely mini-albums for you to enjoy.
“The cover of the Faerie Garden Mini Album (see the wide photo below) uses the front piece of the Album with Arched Door (also in the Door Album Add-On Kit), which is covered in Black Diamond Stickles. I hinged the doors with three micro-mini hinges and used a metal leaf for a door knob. It opens onto a fussy-cut fountain from the Garden Urns Collage Sheet, which I lightly outlined with Waterfall Stickles to look like water. Gold mica stucco ‘bricks’ on the album front came from the Brick Wall Chipboard Texture Sheet and I used the Twiggy Leaf Garland to frame the cover.
One of the many spreads in the album has a garden image on the left (framed with the Cobblestone Scrapbook Paper), which is the perfect spot for a large photograph to be showcased. This page is surrounded by more Twiggy Leaf Garland with Pale Pink and Bright Pink Roses. On the right, the page base is the Provincial Hedge Scrapbook Paper, and the large open page area provides a good space for a journal note.”
Faerie Garden Mini Album Supply List
“With all those winged faeries in my head, I couldn’t get the idea of butterflies to go away, so I had to create a Butterfly Garden Mini Album. I used the glamorous Mesh Rhinestone Ribbon on the cover (down the left side and around the picture frame) and some of the Twiggy Leaf Garland on the frame. The floral papers on the cover and inside the book are from the new Soiree Scrapbook Papers. The closure on the cover is a vintage piece of jewelry.
Throughout the book you will find many gorgeous elements that I’ve used. Strips of Trailing Ivy Border, light pink rosettes (on sale), and hot pink blossoms. You will swoon with delight over the Frolic and (new!) Soiree Scrapbook Papers that are used; I can think of nothing more beautiful to lay Spring photos against. Seam binding in Spring Colors adds a bit of whimsy, even more vines and of course, lots of butterflies throughout.”

I would make a vintage travel trunck with mini album tucked inside. I would add small wheels a handle to the side and top, I would make pull out tabletop and shelves…all folding up so that the mini could also ft in. Oh so many ideas. So cute.
I’m torn…a Lion Witch and Wardrobe theme, or something inspired by Tristan’s designs!

Not sure what I would make but for some reason a divas closet full of glittery clothes and fancy shoes comes to mind. The Windows would be inside with awesome views to her fabulous life.
Such an adorable project! I think I would do a vintage ladies wardrobe with a touch of lace & the window would go on the inside I think.

I like that Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe idea…something where there is a portal to somewhere else – behind the fabulous clothes. Or…I may do a Marie Antoinette closet – I’ve got a lot of stuff for that – even hangers!

It’s obvious to me that we all live rich, imaginative lives…I was thinking Narnia as well.
I would make the stage exactly like Kirstin’s.
I would probably try to duplicate the featured design with one exception, using my daughter’s photo as the star of the show. She always was one to hog the stage.

The 1st thing I thought was that I wanted that cabinet with it’s beautiful facade, full size not tiny. It would sit in my bedroom locked with a hidden key. There would have to be shelves inside with beautiful lace at their edges. The bottom shelf would be a little taller than the others. The back of the cabinet would be a double door with the narrow windows and the most beautiful garden through the doors, a few fairies peeking out to see who opened the door. The only entrance would be through the bottom shelf, just big enough to crawl through. Door knobs would have to be very low to open them while crawling trough the bottom shelf. That’s my full size dream so the tiny one would be the same. Someday I’ll make them both! Fingers crossed to start the dream.

I think I would make a Trolls and Gnomes scene so the fairies can go watch a show! I would use the windows on the doors but am pretty sure that I would cut a space in them so the windows give a sneak peek of what is happening inside! My Village NEEDS a theatre so this would be a darling one to add to the village!! Thanks for the chance to!!
I absolutely ADORE Tristan’s Butterfly and Fairie Mini Garden Albums!! They are delightful!!
For the windows .. I think I’d use them on the outside of the cabinet, so you could see into it at all the wonderful secrets it would hold and for the over-all project would be a vintage style apothecary type cabinet, with tiny jars & bottles of who knows what on every shelf.

Love the adorable cabinet. It reminds me of a doll wardrobe that my father made for me when I was a child. I still cherish it. I think I would fill this one with lovely little clothes.

At first thought I was all about a garden scene with a tiny Dancer but now I am thinking it would make a wonderful Christmas scene with tree and tiny presents. One of the Barbs above said Narnia! And that is a great idea! I can just see a tiny lamppost and a snowy scene. The doors I would use outside not sure whether I would make them ‘see through’ or not. If I did I would use some vellum and wire a mini light in for some extra magic. Oh that is a marvelous idea lol! That is probably what I would do. I love those little gnomes! And Tristan’ s mini albums are just yummy just like Tristan’s little artworks always are.
I’d add a shelf to the closet.
Inside and I’d paint white, distress and use to frame pics or pressed flowers (made with flower soft) and lots of other fun stuff!

A cozy cupboard that opens to a winter night scene inside. I think that some small lights would add just the right touch of bling and sparkle.
An alchemists cabinet with all sort of wonders and magic! What an amazing kit!
My first thought was a Narnia wardrobe with a mini-lamp post inside… but I think a fairy dress closet would be lovely also! All the dresses would be made of pieces of (silk) flowers… 🙂
