Design Team Member Laura Carson has put together three lovely Romantic Victorian & Valentine Gift Tags; perfect to put on upcoming Valentine’s Day gifts!
“You’ll notice on each tag, along with other elements, I’ve incorporated one or more hearts. On the tag with the beautiful Victorian woman in the teal dress, I used the (new!) Miniature Chipboard Peacock Feathers that I painted with Liquid Pearl paints. I continued by adding the woman to the center, flowers at the bottom, a heart stick pin glued behind a heart button (with the shank removed) and three butterflies from the Butterflies and Moths Collage Sheet. Here’s the supply list for this TEAL tag.
“The tag with the (new!) Miniature Chipboard Hot Air Balloon on it was covered with paper from the Amore 6×6 Paper Pad; which is loaded with a bevy of bright, bold papers. Final touches to this tag are the red bird, white swan (painted black and rubbed with Inca Gold Gilders Paste) and a heart stick pin threaded through a red glass heart bead. Here’s the supply list for this RED tag.
“Then there are fun vintage Valentine tags that can be used as gift tags or on a Valentine card and are super quick to make. The images are from my new Valentine Cuties collage sheet; the base of the tags is a new Gift Tag Collage Sheet I’ve created that is free with purchase at Alpha Stamps.”
How cute are the tags that have the Valentine kids on them? Talk about a fast project, all you have to do is cut out the image, adhere it to a tag and add some ribbon! Super easy: here’s the Supply List and it’s just 5 items!

I love the Valentine’s day products but since I am into Victorian Steampunk I would make something along that line and give it to my husband for the Anniversary of the day we met!!!
My kids and I would enjoy making a Valentine collage!!!
I’m not entering the giveaway – but I just have to say that those two are two of the most gorgeous tags I’ve ever seen made. Receiving a Valentine like that would, indeed, be a token of love!
I would make some fabulous valentines day cards/tags and use anything left fory highschool students to make cards.

I would make a birthday present for my twin sister. Our birthday is the 12th!These are right up her alley!

How scrumptious! The tags and supplies are beautiful. I would turn a configurations box into a Victorian department store with ladies shopping for beautiful things in the various departments/cubbies.
I would love these! I am making valentines with my 5 year old niece to exchange for Kindergarten! How fun!
I would use the products in today’s giveaway to create lady using the hot air balloon upside down as a purse. The pretty heart would be an embellie on the purse and the laces would make up her dress and hat. The flourish border chipboard would stand on end and the lady would be leaning against it talking on her birdie phone (giving the saying “a little birdie told me” a whole new meaning) ! LOL
I’d incorporate these goodies into a Valentine scrap book page with pictures of
my granddaughters.

Would be fun to re-purpose a heart shaped candy box so that it housed a Victorian scene when opened. Of course I would have to empty it of any chocolates it may contain first.

A boudoir made from the deep shadow box, with Marie en deshabille, waiting for the love of her life. That’s right, her stylist, Leonard Hautier. For the record, I’m pretty hot for him, too. Tmi. Sorry. Anyway…boudoir with love seat, hat rack to hold hat that cardinals are perched in and that scroll above the velvet and lace curtains.
I just love all the pieces. I would create a very special cigar box for Mother’s Day which will be around the corner before you know it. That way she could store all her special trinkets!

Mother’s Day tags and journal page add one is what I’d make with these items that are beautiful. I love the colors and this set would make beautiful little tags to give to moms, or those special people that are like mothers to me. We all have a couple of those special people in our lives.

I have someone in mind who would simply love this kind of Valentine tag.
So many ways it could be used, I need to focus and finish my “Boutique Exquisite” but don’t mind another project.
I would make fancy Valentine’s day cards. Something I have never done before.
Laura’s projects are always breath taking. I would make a Valentine’s shadow box to decorate my house.
I would make a French Fashion Store Window in the back of a 1″ deep canvas. The black and red would be beautiful.
I would make journal using the paper pad, use the collage sheets as embellishments and the laces, wood pieces, beads and any left overs would go on the cover and spine of the journal.

I have been nolding on to a red , heart shaped tin and. I would decorate it to the hilt with this package of goodies and then fill it with homemade candies for my recently married daughter and new son in law.

These are all so beautiful.
It can be hard to describe what my work is like on a forum like this because it’s not easy to summarize. (I can’t say, “I would make a scrapbook page of air balloons in france floating through a sky of love letters and ephemera.”) I approach these elements with a different set of eyes.
The closest I can come is to say, “something like this:

However, to use ALL of the elements in this giveaway, this is probably the most thorough example, a painting about loss. It is not romantic loss but it is loss.:

In the process of creating this, I used:
-papers and stamps with words on them (valentine paper, check),
-A hand-cut stamp for the bricks themselves,
-Stencils of various shapes (I think there might even be a Tim Holtz in there) to create masks and layers of texture, also to soften the image, (beautiful scrolling thing: check)
-I used valentine lace to create some of the texture, and love to use lace in my work to accent things.
-The cardinal might end up sitting on a wall. (Cardinal: check)
-and the beads would likely be sewn into the lace (heart beads: check).
-The victorian persons would make for good silhouettes. (All elements accounted for.)
However, it is just as likely that those elements might end up in a fibers piece like this:

Title (also not a valentine): “Heavy Hearted”
That is where my mind goes with those kinds of materials. A lot of people are very devoted crafters on this page. That is it’s own artform. My approach is that of a painter. It’s going to look different from everything else.
I would love to make a dedication to friends, using two women one with the bird and one with a balloon and of course using the other elements pictured for decoration. Perhaps sitting on a heart-shaped bonnet.
I would make paper dolls out of the victorian ladies with different backdrops and costumes for them to come alive in!
With all that lace – a sassy lingerie shoppe. We all know what those victorian ladies really have on underneath!
A steampunk valentine to be framed!!
I think it would be fun to create a Valentine store using these items.
It would be fun to create Valentine tags to add to gifts for my family and friends.
I make my own greeting cards so I would probably use some of the items on a card. The other thing I’m working on right now is a chipboard door hanger (like a hotel “Do Not Disturb” door sign). The possibilities are endless!
I would make a steampunk scene in one of the book boxes.

Whenever I see Victorian I think of steampunk.
I would use these items to make a cute scene to go along with my other steampunk scene that I haven’t made yet, but have bought the collage sheets and other items from here to do so. I have been too sick to play around with how I am going to stage the scene (what I am going to place it on) so I am not sure how I would tie it all together just yet.
