Farmhouse Kitchen & Farmhouse Christmas Papers

Design Team Member Lora Mahaffey is bringing you an adorable Winter Wonderland Advent Calendar straight out of an old black and white holiday movie. Only Lora’s is bright and cheerful from all of the color she used on it.
“I made this one for the fab folks at Alpha Stamps and it’s kind of inspired by the whimsical, fancy Mad Hatter style of the company Mackenzie Childs. The Advent Shadowbox is a good size at approx. 12×12 inches, so it makes a good statement on a mantle or tabletop. You could also wire it and hang it on a wall.
I love how the bright colors are a cheerful contrast to the black and white harlequin check on the walls. I fell in love with the Farmhouse Christmas Stripe Scrapbook Paper because of the strip of stockings toward the bottom and decided to use that on the wall. I hand-colored it with an array of Copic Markers and added lots of glitter.
I also used glass pearls for the drawer pulls, dotting the tops of each with a little Stickles and then piping some around the base of the pearls to finish them off.
Looks like the family is coming in from a chilly ride on a one-horse sleigh! There are lots of tasty treats and a bottle of bubbly waiting to warm them up on the table!”
The Farmhouse Christmas Collection is ADORABLE and I love how Laura used it as a backdrop for the advent calendar. One certainly can’t go wrong with Copics and glitter! Psst… check out the new Tim Holtz Vintage Platinum Glitter Dust, too!
(And all of those coordinating black and white papers would be fun to play with any time of year. AND two more “Mix & Match Paper Pads” are new, too: each pad includes solid and printed cardstock, canvas, burlap and corrugated cardstock… the Holiday Baking one is calling my name!)
Speaking of glitter and adorable — how cute are the snowflakes on the Christmas tree that Laura colored with glitter and the kitten under the tree? You just know at any minute that kitty will be messing with the presents…

Gosh, please sell these papers. They are wonderful, especially the tiny black and white stripe. It would be great printed on fabric for a mattress in smaller scales.

I just love all the black and white. I create a diorama with the black and white papers. A Victorian Christmas if you will with sparkle everywhere!

I would use the black and white Christmas paper to make vintage ornaments.
LOVE the black and white! I would use them for scrapping and for making some mixed media canvases. I might paint some and some leave. There would be perfect for black and white photos!
The black and ivory harlequin and stripes would be great backgrounds for cards and the edges would be a little distressed. The double dot papers would be used to die cut wreathed and poinsettias. And since home made toffee is one the gifts I make for Christmas, the baking paper would be perfect colored adornments for the bags. The vintage images would be colored with inks and used for the cards. What a great suite of paper!
Black and white papers would be fun to use in creating Art Deco style gift tags. Depending on the addition of a few colors, they could be used for various holidays. Using pinks and reds would make them perfect for Valentine cards and tags and etc. Hope to be lucky to be selected!

I would use the papers to cut out arrows and stars and other designs to add to backgrounds of journal pages, so striking when used like this! Lovely offerings!
I would use the black and white papers on my wooden art dolls… perfect for that!

I’d use the b/w papers as is in a Christmas shadowbox or diorama and add bursts of color.

I would leave the black and white as-is but add colorful items to my project. I would first use the black and white papers to create more Paris-themed art for my grand daughters newly decorated bedroom:) I was a huge fan of McKenzie Child:)
The Gingerbread Houses is the one for me. I would color it with my colored pencils and use it for card fronts. Or cut out the tiny cookies for embellishments.

I love the b&w look, and I’d make cards! I do like to add a pop of color! I’d use a colored embellishment!
OOOOOOOOOOOO! I would leave them mostly black and white but would use my Prima Oil Pastels and Colored pencils to add a pop of color here and there! Cards, canvases and banners spring to mind to start with!
Since Im hooked to adult coloring these days, I would definitely be coloring the black & white papers! I would make cards for sure!

Black and white images are great as background for a central colorful image. I might use one or two additional colors–markers or diluted acrylic paint–to highlight parts of a larger piece.
Oh how sweet! Yes, I would use those black & white papers! I may color a few w/watercolors…I would love to make a sweet Christmas candy shoppe! These prints would be perfect for the one I have in mind.And yes, the candy Shoppe has a resident kitty watching all the activity in the Shoppe!:) meow!
Would love to win these. I would cut panels for cards and some of the panels would be black and white and on some of them, I might color just one or two images and leave the rest black and white.
I really like the black and white but would add a splash or two of some fun , bright colors and make some ornaments to decorate the garland around my fireplace.

I would make a kitchen themed advent calendar with the gingerbread houses as my main theme in the opening, colored of course. I would color and cut out all the retro ornaments and decorate my tree with those! Love!

black and white always works. Hadnt thought of coloring them, but maybe an accent color like yellow or red. I have a bunch of cigar boxes that could be covered nicely with these papers!
Backgrounds, floors. boxes. We can use them every where and cans be easily colored.
Great give away! Black and white is an all time favorite of mine. I frequently have used the colors for backgrounds or tidbits of the check in my projects.
I might have to borrow the harlequin for Halloween and use orange chalk ink to color it. The rest would be used for a holiday baking recipe book and maybe a Christmas layout.
The mix and match pads look interesting. I might have to add them to my wish list.
