Note: most of the links on this post no longer work, as we moved to a new Web site in 2018. However, you can see the supply list items from Nichola’s project that are still available on the new site.
Before Miz Bella introduces TWO very different projects by the unceasingly creative Nichola Battilana, there’s are 2 announcements:
FIRST, it’s that time of year… Laura Carson is gearing up for her annual Halloween event, and this year is a Haunted Village!!
NEXT, a new FREE gift! Inspired by the NEW Eyeballs Collage Sheet (by Teri Calia): a Mini Eyeballs Gift Sheet (it’s a tiny little taste of all the eyeballs on the bigger sheet… this tiny version has eyes sized for 10mm and 13mm cabochons). AND if you spend $20 or more on an order, we’ll also include a set of the New 10mm Clear Glass Cabs, as shown in the photo. This mini collage sheet is also FREE for all orders, regardless of order size! If you place an all-digital order, I’ll send you the Gift Sheet as a pdf file. See the Giveaway below for another photo.
Design Team Member Nichola Battilana is up with two of my favorite things, poison bottles and ornate boxes (tins)!
Nichola took the Small Hinged Tin from the Magic Potions Kit and worked some of her own magic on it to make it look like an ornate, jeweled poison box. Pretty fancy schmancy don’t you think?
Gorgeous Filigree and assorted Charms are glued together for the top of the box. Nichola walks you through the super easy way she achived the silver-tone effect of the top of the box and hey, how about that eye right smack in the middle of it as well? I really do love it — it’s the 12mm Glass Cat Eye. Is it drawing you towards it, or warning you to stay away?!
Inside of the tin are all of the little bottles from the Magic Potions Kit, and a sweet Halloween Poison Cameo. Here is the supply list for Nichola’s Poison Tin, and if you head over to Pixie Hill, Nichola will tell you how to get all those tiny bottles into the tin without them falling all over the place!
A bonus project from Nichola! This adorable Tall Garden Cottage made with the (New!) 3 Story House Shrine Kit. In typical Nichola fashion it is ready for any fairy family to move into complete with Chipboard Cottage Windows (how CUTE are those?!) and Butterflies. Looks like the Gnomes are ready to get busy planting for Fall with their new Gardening Tools!
Supply list for the Tall Garden Cottage is here and you can mosey on over to pay Nichola a visit at her blog.
Hooray for the Eyeballs & Cabochons Giveaway!
That name pretty much says it all. I started with the new Eyeballs Collage Sheet… which led to all the sizes of cabs that those eyes are sized for:
– 10mm Round Glass Cabochons
– 14mm Glass Cabochons
– 20mm Round Glass Cabochons
– 25mm Round Glass Cabochons
And since there’s a 25mm cab, I thought you’d like a matching 25mm Round Antique Bronze Setting.
And since Nichola used one of the 12mm Glass Cat Eyes in a Round Antique Bronze Filigree Setting (on the front of her tin), I included those, too!

Nichola’s eyeball tin is hauntingly delightful, and her garden cottage so unusual! Eyeball button covers would be fun. Or I could put them on long fishing line and hang them from the ceiling and have hanging eyeballs.

Halloween is my time of year. I can’t wait to get started on some new projects.
Eye can see tons of spooktacular eye candy….trick or treat!
There’s something reassuring about all the eyes staring back at you – you know that at least you are never alone! And while many think that the eyes are scary, to a lover of the dark, those eyes are just the visible part of lovable creatures that truly understand you….I would use the eyes in jewelry, and for cloth and sculptured dragons and cats and other creatures, and for tins and bottles and for a large Book of Shadows that I am starting to work on. Eyes are SO comforting…..!
I love those eyes,I’d make something cat-like!
I would make a scary Halloween TP album and use the eyes for the pull out tabs. As for the ageing technique I would whip out all my Parisian charms and antique away.

Halloween, the most wonderful time of the year. The possibilities are endless.
I’d make Halloween cards for those dearest to me.
I like to make cards with black cardstock and faintly glowing creature bodies with big, bold eyes. Have been using google eyes but these would be even better.
Love the eyeballs! I see them peeking out of windows and trees of my own spooking village!
Love Them I am thinking to use them on ping pong ball for the head of the skeltons and lighting them up
I love the eyeballs! I’d make a pocket sized shrine with eyes for embellishments.
With all those eyeballs I would have to make a haunted house with the eyes looking at you out of the windows.
I duno…my Italian grandmother instilled so much fear of the evil eye…what would I do with the eyeball sheet? Probably hide from it! 😉
I would love to win just once. lol I love all your products
I would use the eyeballs for a Halloween scene I hope to create
bwahahah….I would like to take these eyeballs and carefully place them in the windows of spooky houses and business’s and decorate with other spooky images…but the eyes would be in the windows of my buildings in a shadowbox. Then I would carefully place battery tealights inside the spooky buildings, illuminating the eyes looking out…. 🙂 What fun!
So cool I am just starting on my Halloween ideas for my annual Halloween Bash, I would use the biggest eyes for my large antique bottles that I use on my parts table, this is a table with jars of eyeballs, body parts, spiders, rubber rats, ya know the stuff you find in a mad scientist lab, or witches cave, haven’t decided totally on the theme this year.
The eyes would be perfect for the paper mache dragon I am working on AND the raven felt dolls I’ve been dreaming of making!
