Note: most of the links on this post no longer work, as we moved to a new Web site in 2018. However, if you’re interested in the Potion Bottles Giveaway, see the bottom of this page or go here.

Before Miz Bella announces our latest Design Team Member(!) a quick note to point out that our new FREE Gift with Order is highlighted down in the Potion Bottles Giveaway section. Thanks!

We are super excited to announce that Tristan Robin Blakeman, the Glitterazzi King himself has finally agreed to become a member of the Alpha Stamps Design Team! You may remember Tristan’s delightful bio from when he was a Guest Designer last year:

I am the world’s oldest child, still getting the same thrill I got as a boy playing with colors, shapes and textures. I loves to create miniature stages, merry-go-rounds, dancers, faeries, storybook characters and tributes to old movie stars. Long believing more is more when it comes to color and dazzle, I think I would be happy if I were a wedding cake! Often I prefer working with my dog, Brando, snuggled at my feet. When it comes to collecting, favorites are “Wizard of Oz” and “Alice in Wonderland” memorabilia, as well as water ballet portraits of Esther Williams. Lastly, I live life according to my credo to the fullest: “Sparkle! Shimmer! Glimmer! Gleam!”

Tristan’s has jumped in this month creating two projects. The first project was created with the Magic Potions Kit and is a cute little Magic Spell Chest that houses a tiny little Rare Oddities Book (only 1-1/2″ tall). Hmm. Sounds like Tristan has been poking around Mockingbird Manor…

Used on and in the Small Tin is the Rare Oddities 6×6 Paper Pad, a Mini Whisky Bottle (that Tristan “filled up” with Alcohol Ink) and the tin is resting on glittered Round Wooden Balls. Easy, quick and did I mention how precioussss it was sitting upon on those little glittered balls?

Tristan’s second project (photos at right and below), the Secret Box Book came from the Secret Spell Book Box Kit and he decided to take a different route with this one:

I decided that since there was so much time before Hallowe’en, I’d have plenty of opportunity for spiders and things that are creepy crawly and go “boo” in the night. So, I decided to make a white Magic Potions book and concentrate on doing white magic — like finding my neighbor’s dog — or helping Cinderella get that shoe back on. I covered the book with ivory/white paper and trim and added the Pentagram Charm and a face from the Relics and Artifacts Figureheads set at Alpha Stamps along with a few metal embellishments from my own stash.

When you pull the secret drawer out from the side of the box, there’s a Book of Shadows and Spells inside (a book inside a book) made from the Secret Spell Book Parts Two Collage Sheet (and every page is a pocket with a spell slipped in). On the top shelf of the secret drawer are Tiny Glass Bottles, a Ghoulish Green Jar, a Gargoyle, a Raven and other little hidden bits and bobs.

Check out Tristan’s supply list, then kick those brooms into high gear and welcome Tristin to the Design Team over at his blog. But(!): Be forewarned — you will find yourself spending quite a bit of time there scrolling through all of his other fabulous posts! (Psst! Tristan also provided a list of his favorite Product Picks.)

You have so many bottles it is hard to think of something else to ask for! Like so many others, I have a love for little bottles- the little brass one from the last project was such a neat one- maybe some other little metal ones, some faceted ones, maybe some other colors- deep gray, black, the dark red of old medicine bottles. All I know is I just love everything about this kit!

  98. Patti Flasch says:

I think you have one of the best selections of mini bottles; love the variety! One thing I am always trying to do is age the clear glass so they have a “milky” look. Maybe stock a bottle that already looks that way? Very exciting news about your Halloween stock coming in…my favorite time of year!!

  99. Christine Wei says:

    Hello Mini Bottles,
I fell in love with the tiny square “ink bottle”, (with black bead cap) I saw in this month’s Magic Potions Kit. I looked on your site and didn’t see this bottle. I’m kind of obsessed with the tiny bottles! It would be really cool to be able to order this unique tiny gem. I was thinking of using a tapered crystal bead for a stopper or a resin or glass trumpet flower with a rhinestone center as a cap…oh the possibilities, let the creativity begin!
While we’re talking “Even Tinier”, the Amber Even Tinier” bottle would be awesome in a few different colors or just clear and we could make our own colors. Also I love the new small square amber/blue bottles. Do they make “Even Tinier” of this bottle…yes please, I’ll take two. ☺
