New Shiny Things & Boxes. And Summer Beach Sale ENDS TONIGHT

Design Team Member Caroline Ouzts-Hay used the Mermaids Kit to create an ethereal Mermaid Faux Stained Glass Window.
“This piece was inspired by the absolutely amazing Sea Glass Sets now available at Alpha Stamps. I used a bit from each color set; Blue and White, Green and Yellow, and Red and Brown.
Chipboard bits are one of my favorite things to work with and these were sea-themed (as you know anything ocean related is one of my favorite things to create with). The gold piece is the Large Coral Die-Cut Chipboard. The green bit is the Seaweed Stem Die-Cut Chipboard, and the blue pieces are from the Small Coral Die-Cut Chipboard Set. I painted them using Lumiere Paints – Metallic Gold, Pearl Blue and Halo Blue Gold.
The finishing touch, that I just couldn’t resist, is the Large Bronze Mermaid Pendant Charm.”
If you haven’t ever used the Lumiere Paints, you really should give them a try. Gorgeous metallic paint that spreads smoothly and stays flexible. Lumiere’s are a perfect choice for fabric and leather, but also stunning on surfaces like paper, photos, wood, shrink plastic and even Styrofoam. The high pigmentation provides excellent coverage, even on dark backgrounds. Can’t decide on a color to try out? Then try out the Lumiere Metallic Acrylic Paint – Exciter Pack — it has NINE tubes to try out! Including my most favorite of all Lumiere Paints ever – Halo Pink Gold!

I would use the items to decorate the edge all around an old mirror I have…would make a great re-purposed gift…I like to mold in sand from our beaches here, which makes the edge fun like the beach.
I used to enjoy finding beach glass on the beaches of Puget Sound.
I would make a shadow box to remind me of those times.

I will decorate a shadowbox that I already have just waiting for some love, and this is it! I will also decorate the ATC box and use it to hold the mini envelopes and other little things. Thank you for the chance to win!

It would definitely be something for my bathroom. I’m moving my craft space and it has an attached bathroom. I plan to do the room in an ocean fantasy theme. This would be perfect for that.

Oh my! I have to say I studied everything for a while before coming up with an answer! I usually try and fit as many pieces as can fit artistically into a project without making it over whelming!!! Then it hit! I have tons of chipboard boxes that are the right size for a decent collage/shadow box (10×10) and I’d take The wooden ATC box and paint and attach it somewhere in the bigger box. I’d tile the beautiful sea glass as the background with one of the vintage mermaid pictures. I would add in several of the other items coordinating them to look nice. I’d probably order the Lumiere paints and go to town covering what needed to be covered!!! That’s what’s thought, but I’ll either have to win the gift or try and purchase some to do it!!!!☺️☺️☺️

I like the mermaids, so I would make a under the sea shadow box.

I’m in love with this project, I think I would have to try and recreate the project that Caroline created. If not I have several shells that have meaning for me and I’d love to include them in a similar display.
I love the use of beach glass! I’d make a shadowbox full of mermaids and beautiful sea items.

I’d use these supplies to make a mosaic design on a flower vase.
I think I would use these items to decorate a printer’s tray that I have had for a while waiting for just the right pieces to use! These would be perfect for it! TFS!

I would make a faux stained glass window but change it up a bit from Caroline’s. I live on lake superior and find lot’s of lake glass. This is a perfect project.

Id make a necklace with the sea glass and add pendants of the mermaids. Kind of a seaweed looking thing with the ribbon woven in.
