Theatre Cabinet Shadowboxes & Trims, FREE Gift – 25% off SALE!

Filed under Pierrot/Harlequin/Carnival, Rhonda Secrist Thomas, Shadowbox/Room Box, Shannon Cooper, Tristan Robin Blakeman

How this all started… I designed a new filigree header to fit the width of the Half Scale Theatre Cabinet w Facade (see photo at right). So I’ve brought that theatre cabinet back in stock AND that got the whole theme rolling! (The bigger version of that cabinet is also on sale and shown in artwork below, but first…)

Shannon Cooper’s Chasing the White Rabbit

How sweet is this?! From the rabbit’s little 3D house in the center to tiny doors with Alice on both sides in the deep “doors”.

You can see the size of the cabinet from the photo at left, showing just the center section (it’s just 3-1/2″ tall).

I’ll borrow some text from Shannon’s original post to explain more:

I love little things. I also love Alice in Wonderland. But what I really love is little Alice things!

The Half Scale Theatre Cabinet w Facade is a perfect size for miniature things whether they are Alice or not. The theatre is approximately 4-1/4″ wide and 2-1/2″ deep when the doors are closed. That’s pretty small! I could see a Halloween scene inside — tiny tombstones and creepy trees or maybe a pumpkin patch with a scarecrow?

Halloween will have to wait a bit longer because this deep theatre is all about Alice.

Read more on Shannon’s blog post. Here’s her supply list (all in today’s sale, too). Note: I added some items to that list (like Gothic Corners or Shelf Brackets to replace the metal corners on the top right and left of the columns facade).

Larger Theatre Cabinet Artwork — with more Back-in-Stock Supplies

At right is another header I just brought back: the Wrought Iron Shadowbox Header is designed to fit the width of the 7 Inch Tall Theatre Cabinet (approx. 8-1/2″ wide). 2 layers of laser-cut chipboard (with a solid back that’s a bit taller so the bottom edge shows). Speaking of that larger cabinet…

Oooh! I love all the extravagant, theatrical goodness when we have a project by the Glitter King himself: Tristan Robin Blakeman! (Psst: that’s a link to a list of beautiful projects Tristan has made for us in the past.)

Tristan suggested a larger shadowbox for a theatre project; one with doors that could double as box seats. The 7 Inch Tall Theatre Cabinet is 3″ deep when closed (the large shadowbox is 1-1/2″ deep, as are the 2 smaller shadowboxes that form the “doors”).

I made a (big) set of curtains, headers, box seats & columns to fit the Theatre Cabinet, but as each curtain pretty much fills an entire printed page, it is only available as a digital download set. There’s also a Wide Aladdin Facade with Columns, a heavy chipboard facade that fits the front of the Theatre Cabinet. It’s in the center section of Tristan’s theatre, supporting the yellow/gold Aladdin Facade image from the digital images set.

See the group of photos at left? That’s showing the cabinet closed (front and back) and open before any scenery has been added (yes, he has multiple “acts” in his Beauty and the Beast Theatre)! Pretty spectacular even without the characters.

More photos and info are on Tristan’s blog post and here’s his supply list. Plus he includes some video clips from my favorite movie version of the story: Jean Cocteau’s 1946 La Belle et La Bête.

One more related project: Design Team Member Rhonda Secrist’s Music Makers Masquerade.

The Wrought Iron Shadowbox Header fits perfectly across the shadowbox horizontally, but Rhonda decided to use it vertically, adding a curve that creates a stage area (see the colorful photo below).

Plus the Taj Mahal Triptych shown at right and left is back in stock today, too!

The related Taj Mahal Folding Card is also back (it’s on the back of Rhonda’s project so not seen below… it’s also in one of the scenes for Tristan’s theatre — there’s a photo on the folding Card page).

See the original post for more photos, and here’s a link to see all of Rhonda’s supplies.

Even More NEW or Back-in-Stock Supplies

See that bird house below? Shannon used it in her project above (that Half Scale Theatre Cabinet w Facade is deep enough for this larger bird house to fit in the center section).

Also note the photo at right: that’s for 2 NEW tiny sizes of planters!
