31 Spook Street: New Halloween Houses/Trims & New Artwork!

Filed under Collage Sheets, Halloween, Kristin Batsel, Miniatures

Hooray for Halloween! AND new Halloween supplies AND artwork!

That stack of Haunted Houses & Tombstones at right (new and sitting in the new Tombstone Tray) are just the start of today’s fun. There are new windows and trims sized for the haunted houses — and TWO new collage sheets! The 2 cat silhouette options in the photo at left are from that new trims set.

Read on for lots of eye candy by Design Team Member Kristin Batsel… plus a FREE gift with a Halloween theme. All the supply list items are just a portion of what’s in today’s sale collection! Don’t forget the sale COUPON below for an extra 20% off everything in the sale collection.

I love this project! Beside the option of using the new tray to “house” your houses, Kristin used one as the front cover of a Blank Altoids Tin.

Spooky season is here! Let’s visit one of the houses on Spook Street, number 31. I love the new Houses and Tombstones set from Alpha Stamps; they inspired me to make this tin. The houses are perfect for a scary facade on an Altoid’s sized tin, especially if you add in some Tiny Scalloped Shingles and the Mini Window for Haunted Houses (for this project, I trimmed the six pane windows down to 4 panes). I cut a door out of the Signage & Doors for Tin Covers collage sheet, and used some foam tape raise it up a bit from the house. The stones on the house are made from a cardboard egg carton, painted and cut up, then glued down individually onto the house facade.

(Note: the left side of the wide photo below shows the depth on the front cover. ALSO: another of Kristin’s clever use of egg cartons: pavers leading to the door of the Tiny 3D Haunted House.)

It’s obvious that the spooky family in this house has been getting ready for Halloween: they have carved some jack o’lanterns, and invited a little rat friend to come visit. A skeleton waves from the roofline, and a bat has fluttered by to check out the fun. Inside, a friendly ghost announces a fun spook party, and you’re invited! Hooray for Halloween!

(More) New & Back-in-Stock Supplies!

I have to start with the Halloween Bottle Toppers at right! This idea has been brewing a looong while. Tiny (yet thick) chipboard shapes to use as toppers (stoppers?) for tiny bottles. (See the toppers page for the exact bottles I used in the photo.) By the way, the same tiny group is duped (in a thinner chipboard) in the new Tombstone Trims set (along with those cats I showed above against the front fence of the tray).

ALL of today’s new & back in stock items are also in the sale collection (see the COUPON info below in the sale section)!
