Shadowboxes with Fancy Lids; Heavenly Artwork; Glittery Gift

First of Two Chippy Shadowboxes by Nichola Battilana
We’re got the 4×6 Shadowbox with 2 coordinating lids back in stock today: and TWO Design Team projects for each combo!
This dreamy shadowbox uses the Taj Mahal Shadowbox Lid with gobs of gold Dresden.

The exterior of both of my shadowboxes is bordered with Gold Dresden.
Let’s face it… that stuff is just magic. I’m not one for resolutions but I think I need more lushness and opulence in my life and I’m sure upping my gold dresden usage would make my world prettier.
Speaking of lushness and more. I’ve replaced this angels wings with something a little more substantial from the Angel Wings Collage Sheet. I’ll admit it, sometimes size does matter.

Note: Nichola’s supply list is for both of her projects… the second below has a “bathing beauty with fairy wings” theme (!) so there’s a mix of styles in those supplies.
Woman of Mystery Shadowbox by Laura Carson
This next project uses the same shadowbox lid (and the same 2 Dresden rosettes) as Nichola’s above, but you might not notice as first glance…
The image I used is from the Pale Beauties Collage Sheet. I printed it out twice, attached one image to the back of the shadowbox and cut out the woman from the other copy of the image.
I popped up the cutout image and added flat-back pearls and rhinestones to give the woman sparkle and dimension.
To one side of the box, I added a Blue Side Curtain with Fringe download image which I printed twice. For depth, I cut away part of one curtain and layered the curtains together separated by double foam stick tape.
To the bottom of the box, I added chipboard Stained Glass Border which I painted gold.
To the right side, I added a column from the Garden Urns Collage Sheet.
I hung lanterns from my Lanterns Collage Sheet suspended by metallic stickers from my stash.
I then added a Gold Dresden Halo behind the image of the woman as well as a Fancy Gold Dresden Rosette to the bottom right corner of the shadowbox.
The final touch was a moon from my Bejeweled Moon Collage Sheet to which I added rhinestones and a Glitter Star Ornament.

Snow Queen Shadowbox by Laura Carson
Next up: the first of 2 shadowboxes using the Double Pane Window Shadowbox Lid. Ooo… so pretty!

Through the window, you can see a little boy having a magical experience encountering the frosty Snow Queen. She sparkles in the frosty night and the boy looks on with wonder. Flanking the window scene are various snowflakes, frosty picks, and beads.
The structure of the shadowbox is made from the Double Pane Window Shadowbox Lid and a 4” x 6” Shadowbox.
I started by painting the area around the window cutout blue. Next, I painted the window overlay white.
Next, I glued an image from the Snow Queen Collage Sheet. It’s popped up with double stick foam tape so that it is easier to see through the windows.
To the bottom front, I added a Snowflake Border painted white.
On three of the corners, I added various snowflakes. I also added leaves from my Silver Leaves Collage Sheet and covered them in Twinklets Diamond Dust.
Note: most of the snowflakes and bling Laura used have sold out, but there’s a new Faceted Acrylic Crystal Beads & Pendants set (more info on it below, as it’s also in today’s FREE gift)! (And there’s a wide variety of snowflakes in the sale: some new snowflakes listed in the 2 rows immediately below, some linked in the sale section farther below.)

Second Chippy Shadowbox by Nichola Battilana
Wow! Here’s a change of styles! Still lots of Dresden (like Nichola’s first shadowbox — and the same shadowbox lid as Laura’s snowy scene) but now with… a sun bathing fairy?!

I made two projects using the same chipboard 4×6 Shadowbox as the base.
The second box is a garden fairy theme… because that’s what my supplies demand I create. I’ve used the Shadowbox Lid – Double Pane Window for this piece. You can just peek beyond the pane to see the winged fairy and butterflies inside.
I really prefer these two piece lidded boxes btw. They are soooo much easier to work with than a hinged top boxes.
