It’s All About The Christmas Kittens by Kimberly Ayers
Oh my… Bella went crazy with this idea and made THREE kitten-themed ornaments! I’ll try to help keep them straight, but just enjoy the eye candy if I fail!
Here’s some text from Bella’s blog post to get started:
I have always loved The Three Little Kittens and when Alpha Stamps came out with the Wooden Mitten I knew exactly what theme to go with. Add the Matchbox Ticket Journal (now in tan!) and you can make a quick Storybook Ornament. These are so cute, they’re perfect for hanging off of your tree, or as gift tags or as a layering element (as with the pennant, farther below).
Psst: there are 2 wide photos directly below: first showing the front and the back of the ornament when it’s closed. Then a photo of the storybook opened out (after untying the ribbon holding the accordion book against the mitten “cover”).
The Kitten’s Mitten Ornament (at left and right) was lickety split to make, and the results are so sweet. Again with the vintage kitten and snowman! I really love the styles of illustrations from the 50s and 60s, sometimes I think it reminds me of being at my grandmother’s house when I was small and it’s just a comfort (aside from being really cute!)
Yes, another pennant! (Shown below.) Only this time it is a single pennant and not a banner. These are perfect for hanging off your Christmas tree, on a door handle, or on a wreath. With this pennant I enhanced the kitten’s outfit with Christmas Red and Mercury Glass Stickles, covered each pennant with paper, Dresden borders, ribbons, lace, and paper roses. That’s it, a perfect way to work away a rainy afternoon!
Nice work, Bella! Here’s a supply list for that first accordion Storybook Ornament. And here’s a second supply list for both the Kitten Mitten Pennant and the kitten/snowman ornament. Plus see tons more photos on Bella’s blog post!
What else is NEW or back in stock today?
Perfect timing! So much gold (and red) Dresden trim on Miz Bella’s projects, and a big order of German trims just arrived!
FREE Kittens Collage Sheet!
I made a new half-page collage sheet with a mix of 3 Little Kitten images (and some Christmas kitties including one dressed as Santa) in mini sizes so you can make a tiny masterpiece (whether or not you use the Matchbox Ticket Journal like Bella did)!
You don’t need to do anything special to get the FREE Collage Sheet! A hard copy will be added to all physical orders placed today and tomorrow (through Monday, December 9, 2019)!
