New Christmas Papers, Pocket Shrines + Toys FLASH SALE!

Before I show off Design Team Member Shannon Cooper’s Pocket Christmas Shrines, here’s a preview of one of two new Christmas paper pads today! The Make a Wish 12×12 Paper Pad includes TEN 12″ x 12″ sheets of double-sided cardstock-weight scrapbook paper, each with a different design. Plus the back sides of the front & back covers are 2 more designs! I love the “hand-made, crazy quilt” feel… and, of course, the sheet with cats (with wings)!
Pocket Christmas Shrines
by Shannon Cooper!
Oh, these are so cute (and tiny)! Shannon has made two wee store displays in the Scalloped and Starburst Little Niche Shrines!
Here’s an intro from Shannon’s blog post:
How wonderful are the new Little Niche Shrines?
They are versatile little things; make them as ornate or playful as you wish! Or do what I did and stuff them full of Christmas miniatures.
The inside of the niche is pretty narrow (about 2″), only 1/2″ deep, but I managed to trim some pieces of basswood to create a toy shelf and a slanted cookie display counter for my two bitty Christmas shops.
The sweets shop is full of holiday treats for everyone. I used some Miniature Red Tinsel Garland to hang cookie cutters inside the Sweet Shop. The Itty Bitty Christmas Cookies Buttons Set (pssst, that set also includes the mini cookie cutters) were perfect for the corners of the mitered straws.
Ah… those red striped borders are straws! How clever!
Both of the shops were created the same way: covered with scrapbook paper on the inside and out, striped paper straw “window” frames, decorations using Polymer Clay Christmas Candy Slice Mix and tiny rhinestones, and collage sheets for the lettering and images (like the Santa shown below, on top of The Toy Shoppe).
Thank you, Shannon! Beautiful artwork!! I love all the details, like the Miniature Porcelain Kitchen Jar (decorated with a decal and holding candy canes) in the Sweet Shop (plus the mini buttons as both cookie cutters on the garland and as gingerbread cookies on the 4 mitered corners of the straw window frames).
