Christmas Treat Box & Gift Tag Notebook by Guest Designer Janet Axtman!

We have quite the holiday treat for you this month with Guest Designer Janet Axtman! Janet is such a busy bee as you can see by her bio, and does most of her creating from the hours of 9pm – 1am. I’d say that makes her just like us here at Alpha Stamps!

I stumbled into crafting the same way I stumbled into my career, which is to say it found me instead of the other way around. By day, I am a down-to-business Director of a team of property managers in the healthcare industry. By night (specifically between the hours of 9pm and 1am), I am at work honing my skills in papercrafting, cardmaking and mixed media. Oh, and in between I am a wife and mother. Believe it or not I even sleep sometimes!

About 2 years ago I decided to share my journey with others by creating SugarShine Designs. It can be found on my YouTube channel and other social media connections. I love teaching and YouTube is such a great outlet for that!

I never considered myself to be creative but 15 years ago my sister-in-law dragged me to a scrapbooking weekend completely against my will. Lo and behold, I discovered I LOVED the tactile fun of mixing my interest in family history with art. I’ve come a long way since then and dabble in mediums I never thought I would and it continues to be a journey of growth. I now credit my health and mental sanity to my artistic endeavors! My day job isn’t easy and my art brings me to a more Zen place. (I think that’s probably true for many of us.)

I love Alpha Stamps’ unique and eclectic collections where the possibilities are only bounded by your imagination. I’m thrilled to be here to share what I do as a Guest Designer and hope I can pass on a little Zen to you too!

Janet has created adorable artwork for the holidays using the Christmas Baking Treat Box Kit AND she created a handy-dandy Gift Tag Notebook (filled with fun Christmas gift tags)!

The book is something I call a Gift Tag Notebook. It’s as cute as can be both inside and out but it’s also practical. You can keep track of your gift list on the pad and as you wrap your purchases, you can immediately add a gift tag from the gusseted pocket inside and check off someone from your list! It’s an easy but pretty way to keep organized during the busy season.
