New Artwork: Half Scale Fairy House by Shannon Cooper!
This is sooo fabulous! Design Team Member Shannon Cooper has made a teeny, tiny fairy house (that new corner room box is just 6″ wide)!
And see that little picnic basket in the lower right corner of the photo grid? It’s just 1″ wide!
From Shannon’s blog post:
Have you seen the new Half Scale Tall Corner Room Box? It is a wee thing measuring just 6″ tall x 6″ wide x 4″ deep. A perfect size that doesn’t take up too much space. Will it become a pint-sized Christmas scene with a decorated tree? A minute library that fits in your hand? I almost want to upholster another chaise lounge and make an elegant sitting room (and then fill it with cats). So many tiny possibilities! If that doesn’t have you grinning ear to ear, there’s a second Square Half Scale Corner Room Box that’s even smaller! I know, right? Deep breaths!
After my excitement ebbed a little, I decided to turn the room box into a house fit for a fairy. It seemed appropriate.
This whole project actually started with the new half scale versions of the rectangular bay windows (the bigger ones are the ones from Laura Carson’s Streets of Paris project)… then the house and the room box for the house kind of grew up around the window!
Beside these photos of Shannon’s project, there’s another photo down in the Giveaway section, where you can enter to win lots of supplies from Shannon’s supply list! And be sure to visit Shannon’s blog for more photos and tips (like that shabby white buffet — just chipboard and twigs)!

This is awesome! I love the use of the natural bark she used in the outside!
Love the way Shannon used the bark and moss, so creative. I would probably go with either a Halloween or Christmas theme, love both of those.
I love the way the flowers and vine add to the beauty and the lace valance gives it a sense of home.

Love the picnic basket and the rabbits!!! The bark exterior and moss make for a great woodland scene 🙂
I have a medium and small ivy punch, silk crepe paper, and 33 gauge wire that I could use to make ivy to run up the sides of the window. Then inside, I would make tiny cakes and sweets out of polymer clay. I have some thin acetate that would be perfect to make the “clay” for the panes.
Oh how magical…..love the bunny. However I am in love with the idea of the chaise lounge cat room…..might have to do that….
I love the natural elements she used; I would do something similar but with a darker atmosphere.
The fairies might find that the mice have raided their house (I have a mouse house I’m collecting for)!
Love the picnic basket and the flower pots. Great job Shannon.

Fairies, Christmas, library, halloween? Who can decide. Have you ever considered making and selling kits of all these wonderful ideas.
I do love Christmas but I think I would decorate mine as Mrs.Rabbit’s bakery. Are those little acorn cap bowls I see? I love them! I have a collection of bark from different types of trees just waiting for a project :O)
You have some awesome designers and I enjoy your humor! I adore the use of wood bark on this project. You think you might come across this little house in the woods someday
It’s wonderful! So sweet and enchanting. The wooden exterior makes the window scene so warm and welcoming.
Congrats Ina! Love the fairy house! Everything about it is wonderful. The detailing is great. Something similar for my fairy garden. The chaise and cats sound good too. Thanks for the opportunity.
Hanging basket of berries (I believe) on Rt side in middle. This would make a cool frosted winter window scene.

I love the idea. I do not think I would change much.
I love the bark and moss on the outside. Outstanding!
